Mia POV
I had just run away from the clutches from my so called father who just abused me in every possible way. I was running and even though I was really tired I just could not stop until I knew I was safe enough. I knew I was somewhere in Washington but I was not completely sure.
You see in a hybrid; I am part human and part vampire. My mother died giving birth to me and I stayed with my father that took advantage of me. Even though I may look twelve years old to you I am actually only five.
So I was running really fast when I ran into three vampires. One of them was incredibly beautiful with blonde hair cascading down her back and with golden eyes. The second vampire was tall and muscular with short curly black hair. He reminded me of a teddy bear and also had golden eyes. The third vampire was tall and lean with bronze messy hair and he also had golden eyes.
I stopped in my tracks and we just looked at each other for a few moments.
"Who are you?" I asked them.
"My name is Emmett Cullen," replied the tall and muscular vampire, " and this is my wife Rosalie and my brother Edward Cullen. Who are you?"
"Well my name is Mia and I just ran away from home and I don't have a place to go."
"How can you a human, just run away from like that and at that speed you were running?" Rosalie demanded.
"Well, I am not fully human. I am actually half vampire and half human. Basically a hybrid."
"Wow, I have never heard of that. How would you like to come to our home and meet the rest of our family?" Edward asked.
"I would love that," I said.
And since that day I have lived with the Cullens and became a Cullen myself. Nothing interesting has happened since I lived with them. But everything changed when we moved to Forks and met Bella Swan.
