Dean put the last piece of pie in his mouth, sighing with satisfaction «Thanks Cass, I needed that! I must admit, even though you are like a child when you don't have your angelic power stuff, you are not as useless as I thought.» he said smiling.
«This makes me very happy, Dean.» Castiel answered seriously. He had been observing his friend for the whole meal, standing in front of him.
Dean suddenly yawned loudly while stretching his arms over his head «I think I'll take a nap. You should do the same, you know? How long have you been awake?» he asked, noticing that Castiel's eye circles became deeper.
«I still don't know how to sleep, plus I find it a time wasting activity, so...»
«If you want your brain to actually work you have to sleep, you have no choice.»
«But-»
«Good Night, Cass!»
«But it's still Evening! Dean? Dean, are you sleeping already?»
«I'm not, but I'd like to, so just shut your mouth please!» Dean said, his head already buried in the bed's pillow, the empty plate thrown on the floor.
Castiel stood at his side, breathing silently so that his friend could rest. A little later, as Dean began to snore softly, Castiel felt his legs becoming sore, so he sat on a chair he found in a corner of the room.
It wasn't comfortable at all, but perhaps the fact that he hadn't slept for at least two days helped making Castiel sleepy, his head tilting and his eyelids shutting close slowly. He scratched his face with his palms, trying to stay awake, trying to look over his dear friend as he always had, but nothing seemed to work.
Dean always said that coffee helps humans wake up, but he had no idea where to find it nor how to make it. He sighed and tried to find a better position on his chair, while resting his chin on his hand. He soon regretted it, as he felt even sleepier and he soon realized that his human body felt like a cage. He put his hands on his lap, his elbows on the chair's arms, his eyelids became heavier and heavier and, with a last glance to his friend, Castiel fell asleep.
