Isaac, his mother, and his father lived alone on a hill. The family was happy, at the time. Isaac's dad would come home from work, kiss his wife, and hug his son. It was a beautiful family, sorta like one from one of those silly sitcoms! Isaac and his dad would always get in trouble for doing very silly things, like scaring his spouse, or making pillow forts to play in as Isaac's mom cooked dinner.
There were also three pets, too. Cricket and Tammy were both sphinx cats, while Guppy was a short hair moggy. They must've disappeared, as Isaac never saw them one day. I mean, Isaac saw Guppy after a while, but he didn't seem to remember Isaac but was still really friendly. The other Guppy also apparently "Went missing" after a couple of months.
But wonderland didn't last forever, my dear reader. On one fateful day, Isaac's mom and dad got a divorce. Things got hectic the day before, yelling and screaming, while Isaac was drawing a picture of Guppy. He often caught glimpses of his mother crying, at the time. It got so bad that now they're moving far, far away.
he was scared, fleeing to his room, he didn't want to leave, not with her of all people. "ISAAC!" the monster of a woman screamed, banging on his door. He had heard that word many times before, usually meaning he had done something horribly wrong and was getting punished for it.
"I DON'T WANNA MOVE!" He yelled back, trembling and crying in fear. "IF YOU DON'T GET OUT HERE THIS INSTANT," She roared, "YOU'RE NOT GETTING ANY MEALS FOR TODAY!" Isaac hadn't had anything for the past couple of days, because he was acting inappropriately, as his mother had put it.
He tightened his grip on the handle to the door, it was cold. Isaac opened the door carefully, only to be greeted by his mother's hand grabbing his own arm. Her grip was tight, as she viciously threw him into a car, and using a seatbelt that can only be opened by her, one with a combination lock. "Where did she even find this thing?" he wondered to himself, watching the view as they drove to the airport. The landscape was incredible. It was the first time he's ever left his home in a long time, maybe a year, or somewhere around then.
The airport was busy, more importantly, scared Isaac. Luckily for his mom, she had brought a leash for him, so that he wouldn't try to run away whenever he had the chance. He and his mother got on the plane, getting a view of one of the plane wings. Isaac saw that the wing was a bit unstable, but tried to shake it off. He hugged his mother, trying to get some way to distract himself from how weak the wing looked. His mother pushed him away, wanting to keep her distance with his son.
And then.. It happened...
Everyone was screaming, trying to find any way to get out of the plane without killing them. Isaac was crying, he knew something was wrong with the plane, he should've told the pilots about the wings, he knew he should've done SOMETHING! He looked at his mother, who was already praying to God, praying that the plane would stop falling into wherever they were.
Isaac crawled over his mom's lap, looking out the window. There was a giant island, getting closer and closer! "MOM, WE'RE GONNA LAND!" Isaac said happily, unaware that it wouldn't land normally. "Mom? Did you hear me?! We're gonna la-"
The first thing Isaac saw when he became conscious again was fire, lots and lots of fire. Oh, and blood, his own blood. He watched the horrible sight of the plane being burned like it was a giant campfire. He stumbled to his feet, struggling to move as his blood loss was too great to do anything too advanced.
He looked around for a day or two, finding no food or water. The most he was able to do was stop the bleeding with some rags and leaves. Isaac fell to the ground, the poor boy couldn't walk anymore. He was starving, dehydrated, and fatigued. "Just a little rest is all..." he thought to himself,
The last thing he saw before blacking out was a figure of a person looking over him with a pointy stick.. Maybe a spear of some sorts. It didn't matter, as Isaac was already asleep.
Isaac awoke, tied up with some surprisingly tough leaves and sticks. He was also laying on an Isaac sized leaf. He struggled to sit up, barely any energy in his body. Now, his throat was dry, but he wasn't as dehydrated as before. The bad feeling in his stomach was mostly gone. Although his head was still pounding like a drum. He saw a boy, no older than 13 sitting there, staring at him. He was making sure his spear wasn't dull. His hair was long, a chestnut color. He had a bandana around his head.
The boy was accompanied by a young girl around the other boy's age. She had a realistic looking dead bird in her hair. "Must be a pin." He thought to himself. She was very pretty, though she looked really tired. She also had mascara, which was odd for being on an island. She also had glasses on, round ones to be exact. She had some weird marks on her arms, like lines. Isaac wasn't sure which these were marks were for, but she also had a razor blade in her hands.
"I'll be right back." The long-haired maniac replied as Isaac saw him. "Eve, DON'T talk to him. He could be dangerous." He grabbed his spear violently, heading off into the unknown. Isaac watched him walk away, looking back at Eve. She was using the razor on her arm, blood dripping out accordingly."That's a pretty name.." Isaac thought aloud.
Eve's face had a small tint of pink on it. "What's it to you?" She said, watching the blood pour out of her arm.
"Hey kid, wanna see something reaallll cool?" She crawled over, leaning close to him, her razor held tightly between her fingers. Isaac couldn't say anything, he was too scared of the sharp thing being close to him. His mother has taught him that blades are bad.. alongside.. other things. The razor was touching Isaac's cheek, her blood covering part of it. Eve's glasses needed to be adjusted so they wouldn't fall, which took her a second. She carefully graced the razor by his cheek, making the tiniest cut form. Isaac kept whimpering, trying to push away. "Ugh, fine.. you're so boring..." she stuffed something in his mouth, so he'd stay quiet. It wasn't long till the other boy came back, dragging back a huge fish. Isaac didn't know much about fish, so he couldn't say what type it was. Now that Isaac thought about it, it was almost dark out. "Eve, let me borrow your glasses!" Samson demanded, taking them anyways without waiting for an answer. He dropped the fish on a gigantic leaf, which was supposed to be a food pile, from what Isaac has gathered. It was mostly empty, save for some coconuts and a single bunny. The boy sat upright, looking at Isaac being forced to eat fish. "So, what is your name, new ally?" extended his arm out in friendship, only to remember he's tied up. "My name's Samson, and because I seem to be the only one who knows about nature, I'm in charge here." Now, poor Isaac, barely able to talk said "maoy naoums iousaock."
"Pardon, could you say that again?" Samson repeated calmly. He swallowed the food. "My name i-is Isaac.." he was barely audible as he glared at Eve, playing with her dead bird. "So sorry about having to tie you up, just can't trust you yet, ya' know?" Samson had a sort of happy feel to everything he said. Like he was always getting the best hug! Samson took a small bite of his food, letting the taste of the fish fill his mouth. The fish, although not the best, was the best food Isaac has ever eaten. His family wasn't poor, but his mother was abusive and his father is nonexistent.
Isaac started to tear up, being overwhelmed by bad memories and experiences. This caught the attention of Samson, while Eve doesn't even look up "Now.. I know the times may be tough, with everyone on the plane dying and such. But we shouldn't cry and think about the past!" Samson kept his cheery attitude to try and reassure Isaac. "Think about it, the fish will last us DAYS while we can look for a source of water, and maybe even an effective food source.
"We can't give up, that's what the gods would want us to do!" Isaac wanted to correct him by saying "god", as he was grown in a fairly religious household, but he didn't want to ruin the moment. Isaac wiped his tears away slowly, watching Samson give his motivational speech.
"Also.. we might want to find some better clothing.." Eve piped up. Samson's clothes were the least damage, with him only have his shirt mostly ripped, but he's used the rest of it to fuel the fire. Eve's were torn, but not in any place which would be inappropriate. But poor Isaac barely had anything, his shirt was completely unusable after the events that have happened, and his pants were mostly just shorts at this point.
The boy tried to use his leaf as a blanket, almost getting it blown away before he managed to curl up in it. Eve was snickering at the sight, while Samson was too busy laying down. "We should get some sleep! Tomorrow will be a really productive day," he said, the tiredness in his voice was as apparent as Isaac suffering from the cool air. Isaac had to move to Eve's leaf, which was able to fit all three of them if they really wanted to. He stilled used his leaf as a blanket, hugging Eve's leg as he fell asleep, who kicked him away.
Isaac was woken up by heavy breathing, which he thought was just by Eve. Isaac couldn't see Eve's skin, must've just been too dark. He saw what could've been a horn, but he wasn't sure yet. To find out if his theory is true, he went up to her face and examined her. Her face was as dark as the night sky, and she had giant, grey horns. Isaac was terrified, taking his leaf and carefully stepping back to where he was originally. As he got there, he fell, making a sound of pain as he curled in his leaf, watching whatever Eve turned into. Her eyes opened suddenly, a red that would be seen in neon lights, filled with darkness around it. Isaac just hid in his leaf, praying she didn't see him. He held it as tight as he could for maybe around 10 minutes, before he heard her grunt, then turn around. He finally managed to drift off.
