Hatori's story
It was nearly three when she woke up. Yawning, she clambered out of her bed and glanced out the window. It was three, three in the morning. Looking around, she searched for what had awoken her. Something white that was laying on the floor caught her eye. She reached down and picked it up. It was a doll.A pale white doll with long arms and legs, and no face. What was even weirder was the symbol on it. It was an X with a circle around it. Looking around, she saw her window was open. Now that was odd. She leaned out the window and looked down to see a figure running away.
"Hey! Wait up!"
Throwing on a robe, she jumped down on to the sloped ledge outside and slid down into the grass. The person was waiting at the end of the street. As she started running forward, it turned at the corner and started running again.
"No! Wait for me! I want to know who you are!"
She raced after the person, all the way down the street and finally caught up with the person when they got to the edge of the forest near her home. She grabbed the persons shoulder.
"Hey, who are you?"
The person turned around. It seemed to be a girl. A girl in a mask.
"I am your new partner. However, since you haven't awakened yet, you will have to wait to learn the truth."
The girl turned around and then dissipated. She had only blinked and the girl was gone. How could that be?
Several months went by and she constantly pondered what had happened. Her dreams grew wild and terrifying; coughing fits came almost everyday and seemed to get worse. She did research on what she had seen, but the only thing she could find was some weird stuff on "Slenderman". But as she delved deeper into her research, she began to change. All she wanted to do was sit in the forest, searching for something she didn't know and couldn't understand. Her family began to hate her, so much that they shunned her.
On night her sister crept in her room. Leaning over her bed, her sister lifted up the knife in her hand and stabbed it down. But she wasn't there. With a yell she came at her sister from behind with her sword and stabbed her sister right in the back. Blood splattered the walls and she stepped away, tugging her sword out of her sister's limp body. She stared down at it and thought of her dead parents in the other room. She felt oddly satisfied. She could feel power, hate, anger, and sick happiness running through her veins. Then she heard a sound behind her. Turning around she lifted her sword up, anticipating the next kill. It was the girl she had seen months ago.
"It seems you've awakened Hatori. You're ready to join me and my master."
She handed Hatori a red mask with eyes that looked terrifyingly happy. Hatori put on the mask.
"Thanks. And you are?"
"Shadow, and this is my master."
A tall faceless man appeared behind her. Almost instinctively, Hatori bowed.
"You've been searching for me for a while now. You have found me and accepted my mask. You are a Proxy, do you understand?"
Hatori stood up.
"I am here to serve."
She held out her sword and her new master took it.
"Good."
He gave the sword back to her, but something was different. It now had the same symbol as on the doll she had found months ago that she now knew was her masters signature. Looking up, she saw she was no longer in her bloodstained home, but in her new home. A home she could call hers.
