The Return of the Fellowship
It was a dark, cold stormy night at Rivendell, of elves. It was often cold at night, being near the Misty Mountains and all. On this particular night, Gandalf the White came to Rivendell. He rode down the windy rode until he got to The Gates of Imladris. He looked out and saw the beautiful city. The glowing, blue lights were a sight in the dark night sky. He continued riding down on his trusty steed, Shadowfax. When he got to the entrance of Elrond's Library, a guard stopped him, "Excuse me sir, I must speak with Master Elrond urgently." Gandalf said in his deep, rough voice. Ignoring the wizard's etiquette, the guard stood firm, "I'm sorry sir. Elrond is very busy and does not wish to be disturbed." The young elf said. Gandalf reached into his long, white cloak and pulled out a scroll, "This scroll could potentially mean the end of Middle-Earth and if you haven't realised already, that would be very bad. So now you see. I must speak to Elrond or Middle-Earth could cease to exist!" Gandalf finished. The guard stepped away. Gandalf dismounted Shadowfax and handed the reins to the guard. The old wizard found his way to the library. There he found Elrond. Elrond was the founder of Rivendell and was there the day the War of the Ring started. He wore a flowing, blue cloak. His slim face was bordered with long, dark hair. Gandalf walked over to the desk near Elrond and slammed the scroll so hard it made Elrond jump, "Gandalf? Could it be? My friend, you are powerful, but how on Middle-Earth did you escape the Undying Lands?" The elf said curiously, "The same goes for you my friend!" Gandalf replied, "I need you to look at his." The scroll that Gandalf had delivered was open on a desk, "This cannot be. Sauron died a decade ago. The fellowship took care of that." Elrond said, sounding astonished. Gandalf sighed and shrugged his shoulders, "I thought that too, but obviously, we didn't destroy him completely." The wizard said solemnly, "And now his soul is on the lose." Elrond replied. Gandalf contemplated his next move, "I must get the fellowship back together. It is the only way to defeat him again." Gandalf said, finally reaching a conclusion. "No. I don't have the men to accompany you." Elrond said sternly. Gandalf shook his head, "I will do this with or without your men. Now good night." The conversation was over.
