Jason's red eyes glowed as he pushed Tommy's head toward the pit. In the background, Kimberly was chanting, "Into the fire, into the fire."
The other Rangers struggled in their own battles, helpless to come to their leader's aid. Jason's hand gripped tighter about his throat, clutching his air passages shut. He couldn't breath! He struggled harder and his vision blackened.
Suddenly Jason grabbed Tommy's legs and flipped him into the flames. Tommy clawed at the wall but couldn't find a handhold. He plunged into the hot lava, and it seared through his flesh, filling him with torment and something more, something dark that unleashed an even dark beast in his soul.
"NO!" Katherine screamed.
Kimberly laughed wickedly, red eyes gleaming with victory and desire.
Fire bloomed out over the edge and there stood Tommy, unmorphed. His blood red eyes, which no longer held any pupils but were endless fire pits, gleamed cruelly as he took in the scene around him.
Jason stepped away from him, a victorious look within his own face.
"Pitiful fools," Tommy sneered as he stepped from the rim, his voice changed to a demonic sound.
"Tommy?" Kat asked, finally released from her battle.
"Your Tommy Oliver is no more. I am the voice of Malagore, the flame of destruction," Tommy snarled, then turned to Divitox, "My lord hunger, Divitox, I suggest you offer what you have brought."
"Bring the wizard!" Divitox ordered.
"No! The wizard is too pure," Tommy growled.
"Then who?" Divitox asked.
Adam suddenly broke free from his fight and hurried toward Tommy. Jason moved to stop him but Adam slipped by. Tommy grabbed Adam by the neck and lifted him up just as he reached him.
"Tommy! It's me, Adam! You have to fight it!" Adam chocked out.
"You forget, Adam, I am not Tommy," Tommy sneered and tossed him aside with inhuman strength.
Adam collided with the far wall and was still.
"Adam!" Justin yelled and moved into attack.
"Wait, Justin!" Kat screamed, trying to reach him but it was too late.
Justin rushed at Tommy but Tommy caught him by the arm and twisted. A crack echoed through the room along with Justin's screams.
"You are a very foolish boy. I should make you to be the sacrifice to free my lord. But you are too pathetic," Tommy laughed darkly and tossed him aside.
He crashed into Tanya and brought them both down. Tommy approached Divitox.
"Well?" he asked.
"I'll give it to him when he agrees to marry me," Divitox said.
"No deal," Tommy said.
He then came closer to her and grabbed her neck. Lifting her over the fire pit, he threw her down into it. Her screams echoed through the pit then a fiery explosion signaled the end of her. The Temple began to shack violently around them.
"I think we had better get out of here!" Kat said.
"Get Adam!" Tanya ordered, hurriedly helping Justin out.
Katherine ran to Adam's limp form and picked him up. She then followed Tanya and Justin out. With them whoever else was within the Temple fled, and the wizard and his family had disappeared.
:"We should go after them," Kimberly hissed, coming to stand by Tommy and Jason.
"No, Malagore comes. We will destroy them later," Tommy said.
