AUTHOR'S NOTE: I wrote this really long poem out of the blue, and decided to share it with you. (Hey, that rhymed too! :D) This kind of reflects all of the feels from playing Professor Layton. I hope you enjoy it!
PROFESSOR LAYTON
Mysteries can begin in the most curious of places
People may come with several different faces
The unknown awaits
Through narrow gates
Keep eyes open wide
No one knows what may hide
Circumstances change in the blink of and eye
Without so much as a reason why
A new beginning will start
For the one with a golden heart
To take a chance with fate
It is wise to wait
Diabolical circumstances may arise
Hidden beneath a misunderstood disguise
Things may become bizarre
Leaving questioning ajar
Misunderstandings lead to heartbreak
Unresolved feeling cause the heart to ache
Set the mind at ease
With what may please
Treasure what is dear
Love who is near
Do not lose track of time
Life is worth the extra climb
This has not been unheard
Stranger things have occurred
Watch as time itself is unwound
Strange changes all around
Consider the impossible
For it may be possible
Do not allow these memories to slip away
Look forward to the start of a new day
Embrace the future with open eyes
Possibilities as endless as the clear skies

Surprises may lie around the corner
Occasionally from someone former
Like a specter in the night
Fright has met its height
The alliance of three
May be the key
Innocence hidden in a shroud of darkness
Leaving the heart unconscious
Accepting the truth
Once provided with proof
The mastermind behind it all
Finally takes the fall
The caring hero's last breath
Followed by a sacrificing death
Only the beginning
Of something more intimidating
Acquiring eternal life
May fill the heart with strife
With a simple game
Causes many pain
A very small mind
That takes a while to unwind
A companion in need
Will prove useful indeed
With many eliminated
The outcome unanticipated
Evil's great plan of return
Discovering there was more to learn
A loving friend
With hopes to amend
A beloved one's revival
Brings an old city's arrival
In a city of miracles
Lurks unknown criminals
Plans as dark as night
Hidden behind the veil of light
Grudges held for years
Leading to many fears
Misfortune and tragedy
Causing emotional agony
The loss of one close friend
Making the fate of another bend
Confrontation with the truth
Realization of youth
Unforgiven mistakes of the past
Put to rest at long last
Friendships remolded
Within arms enfolded
Someone new to befriend
With their own fate to amend
Many uniting together
Chances in their favor
Strange new places
Interesting new faces
Hidden secrets revealed
What had been long concealed
The sting of betrayal
Leaving minds and hearts frail
Unexpected surprises meet
With a near defeat
A sacrifice is given
Another is driven
Motivated by the friendship
Given by true companionship
One close departs
Two open eyes and hearts
A duo now stands
Both with open hands
Ready for the next mystery
Waiting to change history.
