He wanted to apologise to her. It was stupid, blaming her for something she didn't understand.
Admittedly she wasn't Claudia, but it was her fault at all.
Still, he wanted to hold Claudia again…he wanted the woman he loved.
Standing on Jenny's doorstep was hard enough.
He tried to explain it, hoping that somehow she'd understand – empathise with him.
Maybe she'd come back to him, even though it was idiotic since Jenny Lewis had never been his. Claudia Brown however…
He seemed to cling on for desperation, trying to unravel the complicities to her so she would understand why, why he was sorry…why he acted the way he did.
Her expression told him he was failing, but that she was still salvageable.
And then he came to the door.
The man.
Her fiancé.
And his world came crashing down.
