I thought of this last night, and I just had to write it. It's not very long at all, just some fluff. And also, I don't know if this has already been written about, I'm too lazy to flip through the many pages of fanfics. Sorry if this is just a repeat.

DISCLAIMER: Not my characters they're Cassandra Clare's.

Luke stumbled angrily along the road, pulling his hat over his face securely. How could she have not expected it? It's not like she didn't know how I've felt all these years….Why did she think I went through so much for her? Because I was trying to be the best friend that ever existed? No! She had to have known….

That he loved her.

Her bewildered face was imprinted in his mind; no amount of thoughts could push it away. When he'd finally gotten then courage to tell her, after all these years, she'd just stared at him, speechless. Well that was enough for Luke. He didn't need a verbal answer, her face said it all.

And then he'd just stormed out of there, like a heartbroken puppy, which was exactly what he was. Literally and figuratively.

Now he was walking, more like running, aimlessly around the roads of Idris. Luke was very tempted to change and make a run for the woods, but that wouldn't be good for his status with the Clave. Where would he go? Well since he had nothing now, the woman he loved didn't love him, he might as well accept the Clave's offer and live here in Idris. Then he'd never have to see her again. Jocelyn.

But did he want that? No. Even seeing her face felt like a knife being driven into his heart, he would still want to be with her. No amount of pain could amount to the emptiness that she left inside of him when they were apart.

But now that she knew….Would she even want to see him anymore? Would she shy away from his touch, even if it was just out of friendliness? Luke couldn't answer any of his questions. He just kept walking.

"Luke! Wait! Please," someone shouted from a distance behind him.

Great, now he was hearing her voice. Luke just kept walking, trying to block out the insanity going on in his mind. But her voice wouldn't go away. She kept calling after him.

Finally, Luke stopped. He turned slowly around, expecting to see houses, but saw a pair of emerald green eyes and fire red hair. She was breathing heavily, her face flushed red.

"Jocelyn, what are you-" Luke started, wanting to reach out and touch her beautiful face. He didn't.

She just smiled and threw her arms around his neck.

"I love you! Luke, I love you. Oh God, those words feel so right," she said, squeezing him tighter.

"Jocelyn, I thought you-" Luke sputtered, thinking this was a dream. It couldn't be real, could it?

"Shut up and kiss me already! Why else do think I chased you here?" Jocelyn whispered, bringing his face to hers.

Luke wanted to jump, to yell, to sing with joy. She shaped her lips around his and he held her in his arms, unwilling to let go. And he didn't. Neither did she.

"Why did you wait?" Luke panted, completely out of breath.

"I..wasn't sure…I don't know…It was stupid. I should have told you a long time ago. But I didn't know if you…Felt the same way," Jocelyn explained, looking down in embarrassment.

In response he returned his lips to hers, his heart pumping wildly. He was satisfied to know that hers was too.

They remained together, both of them finally able to speak the words that had been hidden for years. I love you.
