The first one was a dare.

"Hey, hey, Blaise! Blaise!" Draco tapped his friend's shoulder repeatedly, trying to get his attention.

"I hear you, Draco. I'm just choosing to ignore you," Blaise responded without looking up from his newspaper. They were sitting at the Slytherin table in the Great Hall, enjoying a filling breakfast of eggs and strong coffee.

"I dare you to go kiss Loony Luna," Draco said with a smirk. This time Blaise did look up, disgust and annoyance painted clearly on his face.

"Really, Draco? You're daring me to kiss a girl? What are you, like, seven?" Draco's smile didn't falter at Zabini's peevishness. Instead, he pointed to the girl in question, who was sitting with her friends from Gryffindor, wearing the most ridiculous glasses Blaise had ever seen.

"Kiss her, or I'll give you butt acne so bad you won't be able to sit down."

Blaise made a face. "Malfoy, that's disgusting."

"You know I'll do it!" Draco replied, his evil grin growing even wider. Blaise looked around, then leaned in close to his friend.

"But she's so weird! What if she has some sort of disease?"

Draco gave him a threatening look.

"Fine, I'll do it after Potions, where no one can see me," he whispered, turning bright red at the thought.

But Draco was not going to settle for that. "No, you're going to kiss her right now, in front of everyone."

"No way!"

"Butt acne, Zabini. Do you really want to risk that?"

With a loud groan, Blaise stood up from his table and walked towards the Gryffindor table, loosening his tie as he went. She was sitting there, staring off into the distance as she rambled on incoherently. Taking a deep breath, he walked up right behind her and gently pulled her off the bench. Potter and his red-head girlfriend looked at him with confusion, while the book-worm and Weasel just glared. Luna, however, appeared to be studying him, her light eyebrows furrowed and her big blue eyes staring at him curiously. He gave her an apologetic look before pressing his lips to hers.

A collective gasp went up around the Great Hall, accompanied by some loud guffaws from the Slytherin table. The kiss was barely long enough for Blaise to notice that Luna's lips were velvety soft and tasted like cranberries and maple syrup- sweet and tangy. His eyes remained open, while hers drifted shut. When they finally pulled apart, he realized that the entire Great Hall was staring at him, their collective jaws on the floor. Even McGonagall and Snape were looking at him, eyes wide.

Luna smiled at him as if he had just offered her a simple hello. She swayed back into her seat and continued on with her lecture about something called a "nargles". Yep, she was a weird one.

Zabini turned on his heels and stalked out of the Great Hall, shooting Malfoy a death glare on his way. Once he was safe in the hallway, he slumped back against the wall. As much as the Slytherin boy hated to admit it, that was a really, really good kiss.
