I Wouldn't Normally Do This Kind Of Thing: Robbie Williams

No Regrets: Robbie Williams

"I feel things when I'm around you that I haven't felt in years. Things that make me know I'm alive. Things that I used to only feel with Haley." Aaron Hotchner looked into the mirror and let out a sigh. "I think I might be in love with you Emily Prentiss." He shook his head then focused on his reflection again, "and it's a shame you'll never know because I'm too much of a coward to tell you." He really felt the need to punch his own reflection, but he knew nothing good would come out of that besides a mess. He quickly finished getting ready for work and waited patiently for Prentiss to come pick him up. His car was in the shop which meant that he needed a ride and since she was the closest to him she offered to take him.

She called him when she arrived at his building and he found he had to pace himself because he was practically running to get to her. "What the hell is wrong with you Aaron? I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing," he muttered to himself. "It's Emily, relax."

He climbed into the car and gave her a half dimpled smile. "Morning."

"Good morning Hotch. I got you some coffee," she states as she points to the cup.

"Thanks a lot, and thanks for picking me up today, Prentiss."

"It's really no problem, its nice heading to work with someone else."

Hotch nods and takes a sip of his coffee. He sneaks a look at her out of the corner of his eye. She's focusing on the road while humming a long to the song on the radio. He smiled inwardly when he realized how much she could affect his day. Just this little ride to work put him into a better mod. She had this hold over him that he couldn't quite understand. He didn't even know when it started. They made small talk and when they rode up in the elevator together they stood in a comfortable silence.

They got to her desk and his hand quickly found the small of her back. A shock ran through him as she turned towards him. "Thanks again Emily." He saw her eyes widen as he said her first name.

She nodded her head and lightly blushed. "You're welcome."

Hotch walked up to his office and plopped down in his seat. He knew that one day he'd be able to tell her how he felt. How much love he had in him for her. Until that day he'd make small gestures and take tiny steps to prepare him for that stage. Until then, he had no regrets because in the end, he knew, he was going to get the girl.
