Chapter 1
22 year old Lexi Finn lived in the apartment room two doors down from Agent Anthony DiNozzo who worked for NCIS.
The two people didn't know each other nor did they knew they lived in the same building.
Surprisingly however, the two people knew each others daily routine.
Their routines were weirdly identical to each others.
Except for their walk/run routine, that one was different.
He ran in the morning while she walked at night.
But that is not how this story starts.
This story starts a few days before Thanksgiving
November 22, 2011, a few days before Thanksgiving...
She wasn't goth, she just preferred to dress in black clothes. She had no piercings or tattoos. She wore no make up at all. She worked at the local bookstore on the corner three or four blocks down from her apartment.
The store owner allowed his employees to dress the way they wanted as long as they dressed neatly.
She was the store manger. She was the go to person if you needed any help finding something.
She was working the register when they walked in to the store.
He was tall about six feet in height, with green eyes, and light brown hair and looked to be some where in his mid thirties. His partner was slightly shorter about five foot five inches in height, with brown eyes and long dark brown hair pulled back in a pony tail, and looked to be somewhere in her late twenties or early thirties.
They came up to the register.
"Can I help you find something?" Lexi asked unsure of what the two people in front of her wanted or wanted her to do.
The taller man smiled at her.
"Agent Tony DiNozzo from NCIS" the man said
Lexi looked at the badge that Tony held out to her while his partner did the same.
"I will ask again, can I help you with something?"
Ziva took note of the edginess in Lexi's voice.
"You are the ex-girlfriend of Captain Andrew Lang?" Tony asked ignoring the frightened look on Lexi's face.
"Yes why has something happened to Andrew?"
Both Agents took note of Lexi's facial expression, they saw the look of real concern for the said Petty Officer.
"Yes, we think he has been kidnapped"
Lexi paled.
"Well, Ziva that is a new one" Tony said as they left the shop.
Lexi Finn was different from all the other people Ziva and him had questioned about Captain Andrew Lang. Out of the ten people they had questioned, she was the only one to show actual honest emotion towards the missing Officer.
In Tony's book it told him that Lexi Finn was still deeply in love with the missing Officer.
Ziva rolled her eyes.
It was the first time ever that someone had actually told them the truth.
"I think she is scared of something. I think she is some how involved with this case Tony. There is something about her that seems um how do you say it?"
Tony looked at his friend and smiled.
"I think the word you are looking for is uncanny, Ziva" Tony said as they drove back towards NCIS.
Tony DiNozzo was everything a girl could ever dream of.
She had heard stories about him at night by some of her friends who enjoyed the night life. He was sweet, funny, smart, and optimistic. According to her friends, he was also a player.
But those stories were told to her when she was still with Andrew Lang, months before the made up break up.
She knew what she was getting herself into when she started dating Andrew. He had told her the risks of him getting killed. He even told her the risks of his job.
But she never dreamed of this.
