The moment Jason opened his eyes, he knew it was a dream. He stood on a beach, the waves not twenty meters away.

Soon, he heard footsteps. Turning his head towards the sound, the familiar guy jogging his direction could have been a god with his windswept black hair and tan skin. Of course, Jason figured the dude was Percy Jackson.

On arrival, Percy introduced himself.

"I'm Percy Jackson."

"Jason Grace," his voice was quiet.

"You and your sister are polar opposites, except for your eyes." Percy studied him closely.

Jason nodded, "Yeah, never really knew her."

He saw the son of Poseidon was now fidgeting with a small box, which had seemingly appeared out of thin air.

"What's in the box?" Jason asked.

"A message." A glimmer caught in his sea green eyes. Jason understood what Annabeth saw in him; Percy was the kind of guy attention gravitated to. "How's my girlfriend?" he continued.

"She misses you, but she knows she'll see you soon." Jason figured it best to leave out the distress Annabeth had been in over the past months. No point in putting the dude through guilt over something he couldn't control.

As he finished his phrase, fog began to roll in from all sides. Percy must have noticed it too, because he shoved the box into Jason's hands.

"Give this to Annabeth!" Percy called as his face faded from Jason's view. He had no idea what Percy meant, it was just a dream.

Jason's eyes blinked open to sunlight streaming into his cabin. In his hands was the small box from his dream. He knew it wasn't his to open, so he set it aside as he quickly got dressed and strode out of the cabin. The Hunters of Artemis were visiting camp, so he quickly found Annabeth and Thalia to explain what had happened.

"Hey little bro, what's up?" Thalia had to stand tip-toed to ruffle his hair.

"I had a dream last night." Jason glanced at Annabeth before he continued. "Percy and I were on a beach, I don't know where." He saw her steely eyes open a little wider and the corners of her lips tilt up at his words

"What did he say?" Annabeth's voice was softer than he'd ever heard it.

"He wanted me to give you this. I guess he could communicate with me because I'd been to Camp Jupiter before." Jason held out the box for her to take. She gingerly took it, studying the deep navy exterior.

"Thank you, Jason." Annabeth smiled at him, the most he'd seen from her since that day at the Grand Canyon when he met her. Thalia looked at the box in Annabeth's hands with interest, but remained silent until the pair walked away from Jason, their heads close together in discussion as they moved somewhere more private to reveal the box's contents.

Annabeth and Thalia quietly opened the door to Cabin Three and moved inside. All of Percy's belongings were still strewn around, and as much as they bothered Annabeth, she never had the heart to clean the place up. They sat on an empty bunk and Annabeth gasped at the small silver charm held inside: an A wrapped in delicate olive branches. A note inside read I could never forget you.

"How did he manage to get this to you?" Thalia looked at her friend, but realized that tears were gathering in Annabeth's eyes, so she moved around to Annabeth's neck, removing her camp necklace before stringing on the charm.

Annabeth tried to compose herself, but Thalia pulled her into a hug and walked her to Percy's unmade bed, where she held her through her tears. The past months had been stressful, especially for Annabeth, but Thalia knew they were close to getting better for her.
