Hermione looked in the mirror at her right ear, then her left. They looked a bit red, we're definitely sore to touch, and were they swollen?
This was all Luna's fault. She had told her she would look cute. It wouldn't be that bad. Well it hadn't been sore getting it done. She had had her ears pieced when she was 12 after all, right after her first year of hogwarts. She didn't know why she got them done a second time, except Luna had dragged her to the muggle tattoo and piercing studio so that she could get her nose done.
It was all Luna's fault. She thought again. Her sly smile, telling her it would look cute and very sexy. And now look at what's happened.
As she again looked from ear to ear in the mirror, Luna walked up behind her, watching her examine her ears.
Luna put her nose right up to Hermione ear then poked it.
"Ow! I think it's gone poisonous. So DON'T TOUCH IT."
Luna smiles serenely and just said airily "why don't you just take the earrings out then and heal them."
Hermione looked appalled. Looking at her like she was crazy. "But they'll close up, then what was the point of getting it done."
Luna stood behind Hermione and kissed her neck while sneakily taking out the earring in her left ear. Then as Hermione began to notice, Luna had taken her right earring out.
"Don't worry, when your ears have healed up I can re pierce your ears for you." Luna smiled as if she had sorted the problem. But Hermione was not letting Luna near her ears with a needle.
"You know what, I think I'm ok with just the one piecing. This was a sign that I don't need anymore." Looking at Luna's nose the jewel sparkled, as Hermione leaned in and gave her a brief kiss.
"Maybe you didn't clean it properly, did you follow the instructions."
Hermione stomped out the room, while Luna just sniggered to herself.
