In a flash #3

Mac cradled her in his arms.

"It's gonna be okay", he whispered. His tears fell at the sight of her blood stained shirt.

Deep in his thoughts he failed to notice the open fire that had broken out from all directions of the warehouse. He scooped Jo up in his arms and ran over to take shelter from the non- stop bullets flying across barley missing him as he made their escape to behind a wooden crate.

"Mac we need to get her to a hospital!" Don yelled from across the warehouse.

Mac knew what he had to do. He signalled over to Don and Don understood Macs request. He informed Hawkes and Danny, and the three Csi's covered there boss as he made a breakthrough through the open fire to a small door in the corner of the warehouse.

Once he had escaped the battlefield of shots, he lowered Jo off his shoulders and placed her in the back of his car. She was still very much in an unconscious state and was loosing more blood by the minute. He jumped in the driver's seat and sped off towards the hospital. Driving through red lights and ignoring speed limits he couldn't care less if he lost his license, all he could think off was getting Jo to safety.

Eventually after what seemed like eternity he reached the hospital. Jumping from the car and rushing round to the back, he carried Jo out and called for a doctor or anyone who could help her. As soon as the Doctors had seen her fatal condition many rushed over to them. They placed her on a stretcher and rushed her to surgery.
