Whitney's Story

Rewrite

Life never seems to amaze me. I just feel like there's one thing after another piling upon each other. Why does the world collapse on me? Am I eye the bull's eye for everyone's target practice. Am I ordained for receiving such punishment? Or…is it just me…

"Whitney!" called Maddison. I was in my room lying across my bed trying to recap what had happened in the past couple of weeks. A lot has just been going on lately and I don't know if I'll soon be able to bare anymore of it. Considering, I just heard from Mitzi, who's terribly been injured and the doctors are saying they are unsure of her terms of survival, Chany has know grown up (she's 20) she's now moving out and has a boyfriend who she claims to be in love with but he beats her until she isn't anymore, and on top of that, I've turned 29, and the older I get, the more stress I feel is put on me. Lobo and I are still dating. I've gotten quite used to him, now and we are now engaged. Weird, yes. I know. Freya is still her stuck up self. And there's something about Wolfgang that makes me wonder about him. But on top of that considering I'm getting married I'm going to try to start my life over. Also, I forgot to mention, Lobo now knows about Maddison and she has made it keen unto him to see her visible transparency state. But as always, I have something major going on in my life because…God intended it that way, But a few days ago: that poor Nook that we've all come to know and love has past away at the age pf 34. He died of a terminal illness. Which know one knows how it cam to being, but his nephews are now going to inherit his store and his family is making arrangements for the funeral. That's something I get to look forward to. Sigh. There's just so much going on in my life.

"Whitney! I'm pretty sure you heard me calling you!" said Maddison impatiently. I actually hadn't acknowledged the fact that she called my name once before.

"Yes, what is it that you need?"

"Lobo called and said that he's on his way and needs to talk."

"About…?" I questioned.

"I' not sure, but I think that's what he needs to talk to you about."

"Well, how was his tone of voice?" I've actually come to know Lobo and the way he feels by the tone of his voice and the expressions of his gestures.

"Whitney, what is this? Twenty-one questions? Get real. What makes you think I'd really get involved in your personal life?"

"Because I know you already know."

Maddison was silent.

"I'm not dumb, Maddison."

She gave me a unique look that only she could pull off. A look so sincere and serious that I could only remember it as a child because she rarely gave it. It's as if she wanted to say something but didn't. Just as she was about to open her mouth Pom-pom ran across my mind.

"What's wrong?" Maddison sensed it. There's was something wrong.

"I don't know." Just then my phone rang. It was Freckles.

"Whitney!" Freckles said franticly.

"Freckles, what's wrong!" I said so scared that I couldn't hold the phone straight or process my thoughts.

"It's about Pom-pom! I can't find her!" she said crying.

"What?!" I tried to imagine as if I hadn't heard that and it was just a dream.

"Where's Pom-pom!" yelled Maddison reading my mind as always.

"Okay, how are you so sure you can't find her, have you checked the town?"

"Whitney, she's not here! Her bed isn't made, and her house looks like it's been raided! I just saw her last night and she didn't call me or anything!"

"…"

"I don't know where she is or where she could be!"
