Memories I'd rather forget
Darkness. The shadow of a tall, hunched figure stood in the distance. He could hear bells but the sound of the rain pushed it away as if someone or something was parting from him. Apart from the pitter patter of the rain, L admired the silence; the kind of lonesome silence that made memories of your past life come flooding back. L's dark, soulful eyes keeping the same expression as usual, his mind telling the story.
Memories of L's childhood kept drifting in and out as if he was in a dream. But there was one memory that would always stick no matter what-the day he became an orphan. When he found out his parents couldn't look after him anymore. The terrifying memory brought a sigh on, but he composed himself and carried on looking out into the distance.
L's relationship with his parents hadn't been great but he had to get on with life, like everyone else. He'd get bullied at school but he kept it to himself; letting it build up and up inside. Telling his parents would just make the matter worse as per usual. He'd just enclose himself in his little "supposed to be room"; it was more like a box than a room. But it was the only place to call his own. It was like World War 3 downstairs, the continuous shouting back and forth made L's ears ring.
"Hmmm...what to do?" Thought L to himself as he drummed his fingers against the windowpane; the rain sliding down the window.
