Chapter Summary : School

Chapter 1

The holiday is about to end, a new school year will start, and this time, a blonde and a brunet Kuruta will be attending the hunter school. Both of them can't wait, they are already starting packing their books, clothes, and stuff, since they will have to stay in dorms. Just one day before school, they did all of their chores at home and had a good bye party.

"Uguuuu my baby's going to go to school and live there for.. 3 years?" Kurapika's mother wailed.

"It depends on how I do at school mom, I might be able to finish it sooner if I have good grades." she told her mom.

"Uguuuuuuu..." her mom wailed again.

"Pairo, do your best at school, alright?" Pairo's mother smiled at him.

"Okay mother!" he saluted.

The Kuruta elder then came in and brought gifts for them. "Here you go my precious brats." he gave each of them a small box.

"Thank you gramps." Kurapika and Pairo thanked him in unison.

Kurapika opened her gift and got a bright scarlet colored earring, much like her eyes when scarlet. Pairo got the same earring but only, his scarlet was a bit, dull, much like his scarlet eyes. But he didn't mind, he accepted the fact that his scarlet eyes are dull. When it was five in the morning, Kurapika and Pairo left their village and of course they said goodbye to each of their parents and the rest of the Kuruta clan members before going to school.

Kurapika was really excited, the school is a great and famous school so it must teach interesting subjects. And she heard the system there is really unique and somewhat challenging, not to mention some of the rules are loose and the school itself is freaking huge and badass looking. When they arrived, they were surprised with the people they saw.

"Woah, there's.. lots of people here." Pairo said.

"Yep, this school is really popular after all. And for your information, your age doesn't matter here, you can attend this school at any age, although you have to be older than five years old. " Kurapika explained while reading her book.

Age doesn't matter at that school, you can even see middle-age men and women there, not to mention kids. It won't be a surprise anymore if the class will be very messed up. The blonde Kuruta just hoped that she will be in the same class as Pairo, since she can be quite- really rude without Pairo around. They arrived at the entrance of the gate and looked around. When they looked at the school's announcement board - class section papers, Kurapika was very happy. She is in the same class with Pairo.

"Pairo! Look, we're in the same class!" she said it out loud while having her eyes sparkle.

"Oh yeah, you're right!" he said while having his eyes sparkle as well.

When they moved away from the board, they jumped happily and gave each other a high-five. Then a spiky haired kid approached them and asked

"Excuse me, can you tell me where the announcement board is?"

Kurapika then pointed to the direction of the board and then the spiky haired boy said a thank you and then walked towards the board. Either so, they continued their conversation.

"So, we should be going to our classroom now," the blonde told him.

When they arrived to the class, they didn't start by studying. Instead, they were given explanation about the school and also about the dorms. Of course, the girls' and boys' dorms are separated. But they can visit each other's rooms. The one who was explaining is named Satotz. He seems to have a mustache for a mouth. Really weird.

"Alright, All of you are given free time, use it wisely, like for, unpacking, checking your dorms, explore the school, and know other people better. And the list of dorms is at the announcement board. After you checked it out, immediately go to your dorms and ask the landlady for your room key. Some of you might get a one person room, and some of you might get a two or three persons room." he explained and went out of the class. The students were confused for a second but one by one, they left the class, and went to their dorms after checking the announcement board.

Kurapika got the Crystal dorm, and Pairo got the Emerald dorm. It's somewhat funny that the dorms are named after gems. Kurapika got a one person room and then checked her room, it was very tidy and neat. It was very comfortable for her. And Pairo got a shared room and when he checked his room, he got one that seems 'colorful' in a way and he saw his room mate. When Pairo asked his name, the person ignored him and then left the room.

How cold and rude, almost like Kurapika when she meets a new person, the brunet thought and sighed. Pairo opened his luggage and put his clothes into his wardrobe, he then put and arranged his books on the shelf.

Meanwhile, the blonde looked around her room and started unpacking as well. She started putting her clothes in her wardrobe, books on the shelf, laptop on her desk, Dino Hunter on her desk, and all other stuff below her desk in a box.

When free time ended, they went back to their class. After that, they started studying. When it was break time, they went out and had lunch. When the two kurutas are having a conversation, a silver haired kid got pushed away by three bullies and ended up 'ruining' the blonde's lunch.

"Oi," he stood back up without looking at the blond nor at the bullies, he just simply stood and had his eyes bore with anger.

"What is it you brat?" one the bullies asked with a mocking grin.

The silver haired boy then glared with dangerous slits and the bullies backed away.

"Has your parents ever taught you manners? Cus' mine didn't." he said and his nails suddenly turned razor sharp. "Instead, they taught me how to kill." he smiled and looked at the three bullies.

"Tch... Oi I-I feel kinda sick, l-let's go!" the bullies left. The blond didn't mind her lunch getting ruined, but what she disliked was that they didn't even apologized. But after that, a spiky haired kid approached the silver haired boy.

"Killuaaa!" he called while panting and smiling sheepishly.

"What is it, Gon?" he asked with a questioning face, while shoving his hand to his pocket.

"Don't 'what is it' at me, you just had a fight again didn't you?" he asked while pinching Killua's cheeks.

"Hey! And no I didn't! I simply glared at them! And had a little chat with them." he said and looked away.

Gon can only sigh and look at the blonde who is wiping her food off her clothes. "Ah! I'm very sorry that he caused trouble for you! I'm very sorry! Oi Killua, apologize too will you?" he bowed to the blonde.

"Ah don't worry it's fine." Kurapika assured him.

Killua looked at the blonde and brunet "Hey, you two are from class B right?" the silver haired asked.

The blond answered "Yes, we are," and continued with a question "What about it?" and the brunet kuruta just face palmed.

"Kurapika, they are from class B too you know," and then the blond blushed feeling sort of embarrassed for not noticing it.

"A-anyways I'm going back to class," she spun and then she went back to class. The lessons continued and their homeroom teacher suddenly paused the lesson.

"By the way, I forgot to mention earlier. Each of you have to join a club, if not, you will have to do cleaning services. Here are the lists of available school clubs, you can make one too but you must have four people to make the club. Any kind of club will do, as long as it has people in there. After reading the available clubs, you can take the form here. If you're not accepted in the club, then find another one. Please submit the form to me before August 29th. That is all about clubs, let's continue the lesson," he said.
The students read the list. There are way too many clubs. The most crowded one is 'knife throwing club'. Like hell, how creepy are the seniors here? they even do knife throwing- it's just- nuts. It was break time again and Pairo asked Kurapika,

"Kurapika, which club are you joining?"

"Honestly I don't know. I'd rather not choose anything and just spend my day reading books, which one are you joining?" she replied him.

"The archery club," he said and grinned.

"Oh yeah, you were really good in archery back then," she said and looked up.

"Well I can say that I'm way better than before you know," he smiled.

They ate the sandwiches from the cafeteria and talked about the lessons earlier. Pairo of course, told her that he didn't understand a thing about it. While Kurapika was just plain bored, she already studied all those, either on purpose or not. She sighed and the bell rang.

The lessons then continued, and Kurapika slept throughout the lessons and got the teacher scolding at her.

"Kurapika! Why weren't you paying attention?!"

Kurapika, not even bothering to look up or change from her sleeping position, answered, "I already learned all those five years ago," and snorted.

The teacher got a vein pop on his head and started asking her questions about the subject. She answered them all correctly. Pairo started calming Kurapika down but both sides didn't want to lose. The teacher even started asking her complicated questions that can be found in the text book only with a critical eye, but she answered them all correctly. She even asked back the teacher questions that are from the original book not the text book and the teacher can't answer any of her questions.

"Face it skin head, you lose," she said and drifted back to sleep.

The teacher lost all his pride by then. He spun and continued teaching. The blonde really burned him. The students looked at the amazing blonde and started calling her the ice queen by then and many were still amazed on how smart she was.

After the lessons ended, they separated, while Pairo then went to his dorm, Kurapika visited the library. There were loads of books there, and so less people. She then searched for a bunch of books that she never read. There were many interesting books there.

She then sat down and started reading the books in peace. Until a commotion broke it. There were loads of bunch of girls chasing after a raven haired man and screaming with heart shaped eyes. The man who was getting chased was sure pitiful, so poor of him to get chased by a bunch of whores, Kurapika thought. And she tried to ignore the commotion but it was already enough to destroy her self control.

She almost shouted- if it wasn't for a spiky haired boy. "Your name is Kurapika right? Nice to meet you, my name is Gon!"

Why introduce himself in a library? she thought. "Nice to meet you too," Kurapika replied.

"Say Kurapika, you really look like a girl," Gon said, and the blonde felt stabbed.

"That is probably because I am a girl, Gon," she said, still feeling the pain.

"What?! you're a girl?!" Gon shouted and the blonde delivered an uppercut, a strong uppercut.

"Yes I am! Do I look like a friggin boy?!" she shouted back at him. Well, it's her fault for wearing boy's clothes.

And that earned a certain man's attention. The raven haired man escaped from the girls and hid behind the blonde, while using zetsu. The blond felt depressed, knowing that someone actually mistook her as a boy. Then she continued reading, unaware of the person behind her. While the 'bunch of whores' are searching for the raven haired man and creating an ever bigger commotion.

"Eternal Blue, huh?" the raven haired man asked, surprising the hell out of Kurapika.

"So what if it is?" she asked back with coldness and rudeness in her voice.

"Just asking. For a girl you're pretty rude," the raven haired man said mockingly while pointing at her.

"Like I care, you bastard" she replied while delivering a glare.

"See? If you keep on being that rude, you will probably stay single for eternity," he said and broke the blonde's temper

"Again, like I care! I already have my fictional characters with me so shut up and go to hell you bastard!" she shouted

The raven haired man smirked and then said "My name is Kuroro, not bastard, so what is yours?" that earned a somewhat confused look from the blonde. She actually had to think on telling her name or not.

"Kurapika," she answered.

"Then see you around," Kuroro said and then left the library. That man is a total bastard, Kurapika thought and clenched her fists, but continued on reading the book.

She went back to the Crystal dorm and went to her room. To be honest, she was quite scared, knowing that she will be sleeping alone. She was usually accompanied by her unicorn-dog-cat, or whatever it was called. And not to mention that there are many undignified people around, at least that is what she thought. Then she took a bath. It was only a few minutes later that Pairo came in the room.

Kurapika asked "Pairo?" and then the brunet replied "E-e-eehhh? You're taking a bath? Sorry!" and then stand still.

"What is it Pairo?" She asked , and not even feeling embarrassed, since it's only Pairo.

"Ummmm... Can I borrow dino hunter?" he asked from outside the bathroom.

"Sure, it's yours too so you shouldn't really ask permission," she replied.

"A-alright.. and sorry," he said, took the book, and left.

After a while the blonde then came out of the bathroom. When she looked at her bed, a person was sitting on top of it.

"Hey, Kurapika," and it's Kuroro.

"Wait- Who gave you permission to come in my room?" she asked while giving him a glare.

"Nobody did, i just wanted to borrow something but since you were in the bath room, I had to wait here," he said.

"Can't you wait in front of the door?!" she said.

"I'd rather be in your room than being chased by a bunch of girls again," he said while throwing his gaze to the door with a disgusted look.

"So what is it that you wanted to borrow?" she asked.

"I want to borrow your laptop," he said casually. Kurapika didn't know what he needs it for but she lends him her laptop either way.

"There, now get out," she ordered. The man smiled and took the laptop with him outside.

On morning, she was gravely surprised with the sight she's seeing. A poster hung on the wall in front of her. A poster of a photoshoped Kurapika. When she took a closer look, she saw a note below the poster. 'From Kuroro' it says.

"That bastard... HE'S MAKING FUN OF ME!" Kurapika shouted out loud and went out of her dorm to beat up that accursed man, but at least he returned her laptop.

When she saw Kuroro, she immediately shouted his name and run to him with a frenzied glare and with a faint man smirked and asked casually "Is there something wrong?" and just when Kurapika was about to punch him, the spiky haired boy came in just in time.

"Excuse me, Kurapika, can you help me with something?" he asked her.

"Huh? Oh, sure," she replied and looked at the raven haired man,

"I'll beat your ass later." and left with Gon.

Gon and Kurapika than ran into the school's abandoned field and went to a near well. When they arrived, Kurapika was like 'dafuq'. A silly man was stuck in a well backwards, his butt and legs were really standing out (and no, he is not naked).

"Help me! Anybody!" said the man who was stuck in the well. Gon pointed at that man and looked at Kurapika

"Can you help me help that guy?" and by that, Kurapika just looked at the man. So weak, I'm so sure that Tonpa got him, she thought.

"Alright," and then Kurapika and Gon pulled the man out from the well.

Why the fuck did this school had a well in the first place anyway? Aren't they high tech and stuff? Kurapika thought.

"Thank you for the help, I seriously owe you guys. By the way, my name is Leorio, nice to meet you." he said.

"I'm Gon," he said cheerfully.

"My name is Kurapika," she said while looking at that stupid man.

"Oi what's with that look blondie?" he asked with an annoying tune.

"Nothing, it's just that I think you're so dumb that you even fell into a well." she said with a mocking tune in her voice.

"WHAT WAS THAT?!" he shouted at her.

"Are you deaf?" she asked.

"Why you son of a bitch!" Leorio aimed his fist to Kurapika's face but she dodged it, pulled out her bokken swords which was hidden in her tabard , and then knocked him. It was obvious who the victor is, and something popped out in Gon's mind.

"Since Kurapika's a girl, shouldn't it be daughter of a bitch?" he asked.

"Wait what? that blonde's a girl?" he looked at her and saw the blonde glaring at him.

Kurapika raised one of her sword and decided to just knock the shit out of that guy, and well, he's now unconscious. "Helping you was the worst decision I have ever made." she said and left while putting her swords back. Gon just stood there, looked at the pitiful Leorio, and soon caught up with Kurapika.

"Hey Gon, today is Saturday, are classes dismissed?" she asked.

"I don't know, Let's ask ," he said and then the both of them went to the teachers' office. When they asked, they said, Saturdays and Sundays are free time, by any means, no classes.

Then Kurapika planned to relax the whole day. Like, reading books, exploring the school, find some complicated books at the library, enjoying the scenery, and other stuff that she finds relaxing. When she was about to take a stroll at a near park, Pairo came running to her. "Kurapika," he called out while panting. The blonde looked back at him and asked what's wrong.

"One of our classmates, Killua, has gone missing!"
