It's been while...
This is AU. After Sam finds out that Dean killed Amy. SO... R and R
I totally agreed with Dean killing Amy but he should have told Sam.
Getting there
„So... you want me to drop you off somewhere?" Dean asks, whishing Sam would just shake his head. He doesn't want his brother to leave again.
"Why do you think you've got any right to tell me not to be a bitch?" Sam turns to face his brother with a glare. Okay he is spoiling for a fight. He knows it but he doesn't care.
"Sam…what the hell,… you've done worse… you… lied to me big time, you betrayed me and you leave… every single time a problem comes up,… are you really surprised I couldn't talk to you about it, when everything you do is leaving?" Dean shouts, causing Sam to glare even more.
"Don't make this my fault.. you don't understand me, you lied to me,… you said you trust me,… god, you even act like nothing happened… yeah you can drop me of,… you know what… just stop the car… I'm leaving right now." Sam shouts back.
"…because all you can do is leaving." Dean murmurs bitterly. " You stupid, selfish bitch." With those words, Dean stops on the shoulder of the road.
"You jerk." Sam replays without thinking about it. After saying it though, he stops in tracks, turning to his brother, who stares at him.
Dean mouth works without a sound coming out, while Sam tries to hide his grin, turning away again. "Let's go to a motel, huh?" Sam looks outside, seeing his smiling reflection in the mirror.
Dean nods, not able to suppress the smile forming on his own lips.
"I'm still mad at you for lying to me." Sam states without real heat in his voice.
"I'm still sorry for lying to you… but sooner or later you'll realize that killing her was for the better." Dean scrunches up his nose, realizing how John-like that sounded.
"Mhm… dad much, huh?" Sam grins. "So it wasn't about you not trusting me, but about you being a dick, trying to protect me?"
"I'm not a dick but that's about it…" Dean glances over. "So we're good?"
"Nah…" Sam shrugs, facing his brother again. "But we'll get there." Sam isn't stupid. He knows that he needs Dean now more than ever with Lucifer on his shoulder.
Dean nods. He can live with that. Getting there is great.
Getting there is hope.
