I stare at him from across the room with my emerald eyes.
He smiles and laughs with some new girl he's dating.
His topaz blue eyes meet her sapphire ones, but there is no spark, no love.
If I were given the chance I could make him happy…. I WOULD make him happy!
But he won't give me the time of day.
So at night I dig the blade deep into my flesh and watch the ruby red blood trickle to the ground reminding me that I am weak and unworthy of his love.
I can feel it; I can feel my sanity slipping away every time he looks at another girl.
