Disclaimer: The only bit of Harry Potter I own are the books sitting on my shelf :)

"Harry…" An elderly, gray-haired woman collapsed on a simple, rounded gravestone and closed her eyes. "Harry." She whispered again. Tears began to stream down her face, and sobs wracked her body. She stroked the gravestone as she slid to the ground, repeating his name over and over again. The wind picked up a little and blew dead leaves across the graveyard; she caught one and pressed it to her chest. "Broken off too early." She murmured to it, noticing it was still green, unlike the other orange, yellow, and brown leaves of autumn. "Just like my Harry…you're even the same color as his eyes…" She chuckled a little through her tears as she realized she was talking to a leaf, and let it escape her wrinkled fingers. "And you fly away so suddenly, just like Harry did…" She hid her face in her hands as she cried again, wishing she had her husband back. Wishing she could feel his arms around her once more, wishing that she could lie next to him in bed, wishing that she could feel him warm and loving again instead of cold and empty as he lay in death. She wrapped her frail arms around the gravestone again and curled up next to it, as if it could offer her as much comfort as her husband once had.

A gentle touch on her shoulder made her jump. A tall, black-haired man gazed at her with soft, loving blue eyes, his hand outstretched to help her up. "Come on, mum." He said quietly. "It's time to go home."

Unwillingly, the woman accepted his offer and let him pull her to her feet. She clung tightly to his arm as he turned on the spot, and as the pair disappeared, words rung around the graveyard:

"I love you, now, forever, and always."

This is my first Harry Potter fanfic, so I don't know how good it is, but please review and tell me what you think :) Thanks, and I hope you enjoyed it :)
