I hope you like my new story, its something I have been thinking about doing for a while now so I hope you enjoy my new approach.
This dream again.
It seems to reoccur.
A rainy day, piercing blue, it feels so real.
My green eyes murky with unshead tears, my throat dry, my heart breaking.
A gun pointed to kill, what happened to us.
Betrayal, freedom is what you called it your eyes hard with no emotion.
You turned from me and I called out your name, lying on the cold forgiving ground. Alfred...
Arthur lurched up from his bed, his heart beating a mile a minuet, he grabbed at his chest his lungs heaving, his green eyes wide with fear. Looking over to his right he sighed at with relief. Alfred lay next to him snoring heavily, his chest rising and falling at an even pace. Arthur ploughed his hand through the other man's hair thinking about the dream he had just had.
Arthur had been having the same dream over and over, it wasn't every night but some nights he dreamt of the American revolution, where he was face to face with Alfred and his soldiers on a rainy battle field, Arthur only wanted to talk things through but Alfred didn't trust the Englishman so he had brought along his soldiers. This had heartbroken Arthur that Alfred didn't trust him. Alfred eventually got his freedom, but he had lost Arthur for a long while, as he still had to heal the emotional wounds the American had inflicted on him. It took time for Arthur to trust his ex colony again but soon they began to form a friendship and let bygones be bygones, eventually they even became lovers, but Arthur's wounds were actually deeper than he thought and had been hiding his scars from his American lover and the rest of the world;
Arthur was broke out of his thoughts when Alfred turned over and looked at him with his sleep ridden blue eyes. Arthur felt his face heating up and he pulled his hand out of the American's sandy locks, "S-Sorry Alfred I didn't mean to wake you up" Arthur stuttered embarrassed at being caught. Alfred smiled slightly pulling the other to him and embracing him, "What's wrong Arty did you have a nightmare?" Alfred asked Arthur, frowning when he felt the other stiffen slightly. Arthur shook his head rapidly pulling away from Alfred and turning over so he was facing the wall. "No its nothing, go to sleep git", Arthur said trying not to show how shaken up he actually was. Alfred's frown grew but he brushed off his lovers bad mood, "Okay then good night", Arthur mumbled something back at him but he didn't quite hear him. Alfred decided to make it his mission to find out what was bugging Arthur, right before he fell asleep.
Okay thanks so much for reading my first chapter, I really hope this hasn't been done before as I have been really looking forward to writing more of this story. I always wondered how a relationship between them would work out after the revolution and how it would effect both of them. Anyways thanks again and please tell me if I should continue this or not :D.
