My first FMA fanfic. :)
I wrote this for a friend, as a request.
Pairings/Relationships: Fatherly!Roy & Ed, Hinted Al x Winry
Roy checked his clock, 12:13 at night. Who in hell could possibly be at the door during this hour? The colonel walked down the stairs to the chestnut colored door. He slowly opened the door to reveal a young man with a blonde braid.
He smirked, crossing his arms. "Why hello Fullmetal. Your automail hurting again? Do you need a backrub?" Roy joked, before noticing Edward's eyes were hidden by his bangs. His blonde hair soaked with the falling rain.
Roy looked at the young alchemist. Ever since Al got his body back, Ed has been as happy as can be. Even though he still had this mechanical arm and leg, and seemed so happy at the time.
Now here Edward was, standing on his doorstep, in the rain, during the middle of the night, crying. "…Ed?" Roy uncrossed his arms, facing turning into one of slight worry.
"…Al went to stay with Winry." Edward said, his head still lowered. Roy frowned.
"So what has this got to do with me?" Roy asked the younger.
Edward finally looked up to the elder. He had dark circles under his eyes, which were red from crying. Roy's frowned deepened. "You look terrible Fullmetal."
Roy noted that the young boy seemed quite upset about Al leaving. He sighed in defeat. "Come in."
Edward did as he was told, entering the large house. Roy looked at the boy who was soaking wet, and sighed. "Come on, I'll show you where you can stay." Ed looked directly into the colonel's dark eyes. Roy noticed that the boy's eyes seemed empty of life.
Roy headed up the stairs, Edward following.
