"Just one?" Percy Jackson implored, sticking out his lips in (what he thought) was an irresistible pout. "Please?" He said, stretching out the 'e' sound.
"No 'selfies'." Annabeth Chase frowned at him. Did he really think that that adorable pout would do it for her? She hoped not, or they were gonna have to have a serious talk. A very serious talk. "Not a single picture Percy."
"I just want one! What am I supposed to hang on my desk? Air?"
Annabeth frowned. Was he always this dramatic? Did she really not notice it before? "Besides, I'm so not photo-hygenic."
"So... You're saying you're ugly?"
Annabeth frowned. That was a very blunt way of saying it. But, yes.
Percy quirked his eyebrows at her and frowned, lowering his head, so he was facing the floor. "Annabeth... I have something to tell you."
"And, what would that be?"
"I'm pregnant."
"What?"
Percy grinned cheekily at her. "What! Oh... I thought that we were stating the impossible."
Annabeth grinned at Percy. Sometimes, he could be so... Sweet. And such a seaweed brain. But, he was her Seaweed Brain.
"You're such a Seaweed Brain. You know that, right?" She quirked her head at him, a small grin pulling at the corners of her mouth.
"But... I'm your Seaweed Brain."
"Yes Percy. Yes, you are." She leaned in and pressed a small kiss to the corner of his mouth. Annabeth watched as a slow grin, and a blush, spread across his face.
"Annabeth, I love you."
"Percy, I love you too." She sank into his lap, and rested her head on his chest.
Percy pulled out his phone and placed it front of them. "Say cheese and crackers and... Stuff."
Annabeth shook her head. How did he always win? She smiled as he pressed his lips against her forehead and snapped the picture. His lips lingered for a few seconds longer. Oh, that was why.
