The Twelfth Day of Christmas
"Okay, come on everybody! It's almost time for the picture!" Tarika called to the group of mingling Selfies.
"Do we have to…?" Jeremy griped, loath to be torn away from his new video game.
"Don't you want to remember this time?"
"Not particularly…"
"Why are we doing this again?"
"It's so we can remember all the great times we have together!"
"We don't need a picture to remind ourselves of that."
"Yeah, I mean, we're not going anywhere."
"Well, I think it's a good idea. Come on everybody!"
"Thank you." Tarika sighed, then paced over with the rest to the nearby couch.
"Okay, so let's see… Nickname, HikariYuki and Jeremy, why don't you sit in front of the couch?"
"I have to sit next to the guy in a dress?"
"It's not a dress!"
Tarika shook her head.
"Okay, Jenemi and Zero, can you guys sit on the left? Er, my left, anyway. And I'll sit there too, and… Rika-chan, why don't you sit on the right as well?"
"Sounds good," Emi and Zero chorused, then walked off to their places.
"Sure," Rika-chan repeated, then headed for her seat as well.
"So Glico, how about you stand right in the middle behind the sofa and… Kiaru and Prince of Thieves on your right and Maaya and RAWR on your left?"
The five remaining selfies all acquiesced. Tarika took a step back to make sure everything was in order, then noticed something.
"…Guys, take off your weapons."
"Why?"
"Nickname, we can barely see Zero and Emi!"
"Fine, fine…"
"Okay, everything looks great!" Tarika cheered as she finished preparing the camera. She pressed down on the delay button and prepared to run over.
"Okay… say Roman Census, everyone!"
"Roman— wait, what?"
Tarika sighed. "Okay, fine, just say "cheese"." She submitted, then let go of the button and ran over to slide into her seat. The group of 12 grinned into the camera right at the flash went off.
"Great, thank you so much everybody!"
Tarika ran back over to the camera and looked at the picture. A small smile grew over her face as she looked at all her friends, all the people she held so dear to her heart.
She would make sure she treasured all of them forever.
