Ch 1:Overlooking

Amaterasu's POV

I looked into the small orb that overlooked Kamiki I missed that dear the pink cherry blossoms blowing through the wind,carrying small wishes...

But the friends that I made on my journey a while back were what I missed most. Most people would have taken me as a threat since I was a wolf, but these people welcomed me with open arms, not caring if I would eat them or not.

Kushi, how nice and tender she was with me. Always talking to me while she was picking rice and petting me...

Mr. and Mrs. Orange, who were nice elderly people and accepted me as a very close friend.

The young boy,Mushi,and his dog who was one of the canine warriors would dare me to dig up his mother's turnips,but I'd eventually get beaten by her fists...

Susano,that coward who would take credit from me...but eventually killed Orochi and saved Kushi,who one her heart.

Issun...Oh, how I miss that little guy...teasing me every so often, but he cheered me up along on our long journey.

So now you see why I miss all this? All of these people; including some I have met outside the village,changed my life.

And I miss them dearly.

"I see you are looking down at them again."A gentle voice said behind me."But why?"

"I am not able to see them like you told me,Sakuya, but it feels like a prison for me in the heavens...I miss being the wolf I was back down at earth."

"Oh,Amaterasu,mother to us all, you miss being down at earth and all these people?"

"Of course I do! They helped me on my journey, they cared for me, they were my friends, they were my all."

I sighed deeply,while Sakuya looked at me with tender,loving eyes,similar to Kushi's.

"I'll allow you to go. But, trust me,it may seem like years since you've been gone from earth,but for them it may have been only a year ago. So you do-"

I cut her off,"I don't care!I just want to see them!"

"Very well. Lets go to the River of Heavens."

She took me to where I started my journey. Where I met Issun. I thought he would still be there, but he was no where to be seen.

I turned to Sakuya, Who immediately turned me into the wolf I was years ago.

"Please be careful. The gate to the heavens shall be open for you whenever you wish to come back. Take care."

With that, she left.

I turned to the star river,and swam across while the river's water gently pushed me forward. When I reached the shore,I shook my self dry and went through the portal.

Everything was glowing green when I went through the portal (A/N remember when she always goes under the arch?Thats what I'm talking about.)

I walked away from the portal and under the arch. Thats when everything I remembered from the past,came rushing back to me.
