Kai sighed, setting down his cup of coffee, the porcelain resting on the table with a clink.

He took his homework out of his bag, placing his glasses on his eyes, taking out a pencil and staring at the massive amount of homework in front of him.

When was the last time I did homework? Kai mused to himself, eye twitching. He just happened to be so bored, just sitting in his apartment doing nothing. He groaned, grabbing the first page that was sitting on the massive pile and beginning to calculate, trying to remember the math and flipping through his notes, eyebrows furred in frustration.

He was suddenly alert, stiffening as he heard a mewl outside, of course belonging to a cat. Kai narrowed his eyes. Normally, he wouldn't care about the noises outside, but he was so attached to cats. The brunet groaned, attempting to focus back on his homework.

Another minute, another meow. Kai sighed, unable to take it anymore, slamming his pencil back on the table and making short strides towards the door.

He grunted, opening the door and looking outside, slightly widening his eyes.

A tiny kitten with bluish grey fur was outside, mewling, extremely skinny. It turned to look at him, and Kai held his breath as he stared into it's eyes.

They were a very lush blue, sparkling, with delicate highlights. Kai couldn't take it. He approached the kitten.

The tiny cat meowed in surprise, jumping back and letting out a timid hiss, puffing up his fur, making him seem like a big fluffball of grey fur. Kai stepped back, realizing that it was scared, and ran back into the house, rummaging through his fridge to find what he was looking for.

He tip toed back to the door to see the kitten still sniffing around, trying to find food, turning it's head over to Kai as it picked up the scent of meat.

Kai was holding slices of ham, ripping them apart and making a small trail that led into his apartment.

The kitten, literally starving to death, ate the meat as he followed the trail inside.

Kai gently closed the door behind it as the kitten finished the last piece of meat, licking it's lips. The small cat suddenly realized that he was trapped, beginning to mewl with panic. Kai sighed, kneeling down.

"Shh, it's okay." Kai murmured gently, allowing his normally stone cold eyes to soften, staring directly at the curious blue hues of the kitten.

The small cat seemed hypnotized by his gaze, padding towards him and resting on his lap. Kai smiled, petting it gently as it sat on his lap, gazing around curiously at the surroundings around him.

Kai suddenly realized that the cat somehow resembled Aichi, glancing back at its sparkling blue hues, reminding him of Aichi's own deep azure orbs.

He realized that he helped the kitten like he had helped Aichi, both of them suffering until he had helped them. A pang of nostalgia ran through him as he allowed his lips to curve into a gentle smile.

Kai walked to the card shop the next day, his bag slung over his back. The automatic doors opened before him, unveiling the sight inside.

Aichi was sitting by himself, looking through his deck.

"Aichi..."

"Kai kun? That's strange. I thought everyone went home." Aichi muttered, looking at the orange afternoon sky behind him.

Kai just wordlessly walked to him, taking a cat ear headband out of his bag and placing it upon his silky blue locks. Aichi stared at him with curious sparkling blue orbs, his cheeks turning pink.

"Kai kun? What are you doing?"

Kai said nothing, forcing the blood down from his cheeks as he sat on the chair next to Aichi and pushed him on his lap. Aichi gasped, staring at him in in embarrassed confusion.

"Kai kun!"

Kai just smiled, hugging the little bluenet tighter, resting his chin on his shoulder.

"You're my cat now."
