These is my first fanfic, and write is not the best think that I can do.
I heard this song in the movie "Edward II". It's a very good movie so I suggest that you watch it.
Tolkien own these hobbits and Cole Porter the song.
Review please!!!
PS. English is not my first language, so if you find some mistake tell me

Every time we say goodbye
(Every time we say goodbye)
Sam is at the grey havens looking through the sea where his Frodo is leaving with the elves and Gandalf to Valinor.
(I die a little)
Sam's heart is going if him. His body is frozen and his eyes are dry, he doesn't believe yet. He can do nothing this time but wait.
(Every time we say goodbye)
This time Frodo is really leaving without his loyal friend.
The other time was when Frodo was trying to go to Mordor alone and, he'd gone if wasn't for Sam's suicidal attempt to go with him. That time they facced together the dead land of the shadows where Frodo realized Sam's real courage and feelings. Courage that saved Frodo's life many times and feelings that saved Frodo's mind from the shadows and heart from the loneliness.
(I wonder why a little)
When they were going to Mordor Sam thought that somebody upstairs liked him
'cause he came in time to go with Frodo. Despite the place he was happy to be with him, only with him.
(What the gods above me/ who must be in the know
Think so little of me/ they allow you to go)
But now he wonder why Frodo had to go. Maybe to rest and cure his wounds, whose scars were profoundly fixed in his soul or may there is something that midle-earth cannot give to him or maybe both. He had thought that he was not going with Frodo because he has things to finish in hobbitown before follow his love, but now he is not sure about the importance of these things.
(When you're near/ there's such an air of spring about it
I can hear a lark somewere/ begin to sing about it)
Sam remembered whem they were backing home at the end of the war. The sunrises were more bright and the nights more welcoming. All the way seems to be more green and alive than before. Or would be only his loving mind. He didn't care at all.
(there's no love song finer)
The elves could sing his history of love and suffering thru the ages. If they knew it. These feeling was pure and strong, and they still are. Even Sam's wife could not change it.
(but how strange is the change from major to minor)
But now Sam's destiny is wait for the day when his tired heart will find his life again. When he may leave to Valinor to retake the lost time with his beloved hobbit.
(everytime we say goodbye)
While Sam is thinking that he cannot support his long and lonely road, Frodo is looking at the shore thinking if he has done the right thing leaving now. His wounds were too painfull to him to stay, but now that his leaves, the pain and heaviness in his heart is much bigger than any wound or evil ring and only Sam can destroy it.
