Chapter 1: Pre-movie. Johnny's freshmen year at college

Wake up to a Sunny Day
Not a cloud up in the sky
And then it starts to rain
My defenses hit the ground
And they shatter all around
So open and exposed
But I found strength in the struggle
Face to face with my troubles

Sue Storm never planned on moving away from her brother. It just happened. She hadn't seen him since Christmas.

Johnny was walking back to his dorm after the party. When he got home, his suitemates were having a party of their own. Johnny laughed to himself and grabbed a bottle of water out of the fridge.

He heard a girl scream. She was shouting 'No'. Johnny listened closer. The girl sobbed harder. Finally the door opened. His suitemate, Joe Barnes walked out and left the dorms. Johnny stood there and listened for a minute. He heard faint sobs coming from the room. He peeked his head inside. What he saw would stick with him the rest of his life.

He saw a mess of blond hair, tangled and knotted. Her dress was ripped and bruises were forming on her wrists where Joe was holding her down. The girl had her head in her hands and a necklace hung from her neck. It was a locket with a picture in it. It resembled one that he gave his sister.

"Sue?" She looked up at him. His heart fell.

"Johnny." She sobbed. "I'm so sorry, Johnnycakes." Johnny put his arms around her and cradled her.

"It'll be ok." He picked her up and carried her to his room. He laid her on his bed. He tucked Sue into bed and slept on the couch. The next morning he tried to get her to go to the police station but she wouldn't go. Johnny moved into her apartment with her. The whole incident was forgotten.

7 years later exactly give or take ten minutes (post movie):

Johnny was walking down the street back to the Baxter Building. He waved to his adoring female fans. He stopped at the local café to get Sue a coffee. On his way out, he ran into a very large man. He looked up at the giant.

"Watch it, punk!" Said the man looking down at Johnny. "Well, well. Look who it is? Johnny Storm."

"Fan huh?"

"Not exactly. We went to school together. College. I had the room across from yours." Johnny's smile faded.

"Stay away from her."

"What makes you think I'm after that?"

"Leave her alone. You should be rotting in a jail cell."

"Now you listen to me. I've got some unfinished business with your sister and there's nothing you can do about it."

Johnny stared at him, angrily, for a minute and then hurried home.
