Hey guys. It has been a while, hasn't it? Well, I've decideded to work on something new. ... Again. And sicne I'm hyped for the upcoming "Fire Emblem Echoes-Shadows of Valentia" I thought of writing a few supports after seeing how much lack the new one will have(nOt that it is a bad thing. I'm glad they focused on the story instead) Actually, these will be only supports involving Kliff, my current favourite. Maybe he'll be a bit different then I imagined in his support(and during the story too) but as said, these are just written because I felt like writing down how I imagine Kliff's interactions with the others.
Also, it won't just include offical characters. it'll include a few OCs too. So.. Be prepared!

(By the way, pairings are not included in this. So don't worry, there'll be no Kliff x Canon or Kliff x OC)

Any critism is welcome! I'd appreciate it!

First off will be Alm.

" Hey Kliff, what are you always reading?", Alm asks his friend while approaching him slowly. "I wonder. Kliff doesn't respond though.
"Kliff? Are you there?", the green haired asks once more.
Kliff sighs. "Shouldn't you focus on something else? You are the leader so you probably have stuff to do", he points out, sounding slightly annoyed.
"Well… Kinda. But I always try to-"
"Then go finish your stuff already. I'm not in the mood for talking anyway."
"There is no need to rush Kliff. I still have time to-"
"Trust me, it's for the best. Please, just go and finish your stuff. Whatever you have to do."
"A… Alright", Alm brings out, not being sure how else to respond.

Kliff and Alm reached Support C.

"Why was he like that?", Alm begins, starting a talk with himself. "I know Kliff is not the type who likes to talk much but he never turned a conversation down before. Maybe I should try something else."
After giving it a bit more thought he decided to approach his friend. "Kliff! There you are! I was searching all over for you!", he shouts out loud when seeing this one.
"You need something?", Kliff asks but then decides to answer it himself. "Let me guess, I'm supposed to help you out with your duties. If that's what you need, sure. But you could've asked Gray or Tobin too."
"No, nothing like that", Alm tells him. " I was wondering… You read a lot, right?
"Yes. What do you want to point out?"
"And you are interested in other countries, right?"
"Get to the point already!"
"I was wondering if you could teach me about these other countries. A leader must always be aware of other people. Their background, their history. It is important to understand others."
"This… Is unusual, coming from you. Are you up to something?"
"Erm...", Alm begins to shutter. He starts to mumble to himself now:"He got me there. As expected! Think Alm, think! Something good! Something!"
"What are you mumbling? I am right, am I not?", Kliff asks, wondering why his friend talks very quietly out of nowhere.
"N… No! I'm up to nothing Kliff! Actually… Celica told me that so I thought I could study a bit history. And I thought you'd be the best person who could teach me to do so!"
"Alright, since you insist. But don't think I'll go easy on you."
"Of course not. Be as strict as you need to be."

Kliff and Alm reached Support B

"So? Did you read up what I told you to?", Kliff asked as he approached Alm. This one answered right away:"Of course I did."
"Then tell me… What happened to Niterus in the year 210?"
"You mean during the year it was founded? Well, the king of Niterus saw his people starving. He thought of a solution. First was trying to form alliances with other countries under certain conditions. But since these conditions were impossible to fulfill they turned it down. Then he saw no other way-He needed to start a war to expand his country. Not a wise decision if you ask me though."
"Yeah, a very silly decision. How can you prevent starving by war?"
"I agree. It was an horrible act. Espacilly since the other kingdoms did nothing wrong."
"Indeed. Many historians say that too. I've read that the first King of Niterus was an explosive person himself."
"He was?"
"Yeah. Kinda like you", Kliff suddenly points out.
"What do you mean?", Alm asks, sounding like he didn't know what his friend meant.
"Do you ever feel regret when you cut down your foes?"
"Of course not! They started invading! We are just defending Zofia!"
"They might be soldiers, yes, but this statement just showed you don't feel regret in the slightest. Soldiers are still human beings you know."
"Of course I know! But their intentions are just not right! They are bad intentions! Don't you see?"
"So everyone who starts a war is bad? Then tell me, was the intention of Niterus' first king bad?"
"I wouldn't call it bad. I mean, he tried to prevent his people from starving and saw no other solution. This is why he started the war."
"Is that a bad intention?"
"N… No. I guess not."
"Would you cut such a person down right on the spot?"
"No."
"You are contradicting yourself here you know."
"Do I?"
"Yes. Didn't you realize yet? In war there never is someone who is completely right or completely wrong. Everyone has their reason to start or support it. Black and white does not exist. There only is a moral grey. In everything."
"You think so?"
"Of course I do think so. You want to know something Alm? I admire your strength. I admire your talent for leadership. Compared to you I'm just a weakling, someone who can't compare to you in the slightest. But I guess everyone has their flaws. Yours is not even trying to consider the enemies' side. You think of everything as black and white. You divide people into good or bad. Who works for the enemy has to be cut down with no regret."
Suddenly Alm's voice becomes louder. "But this is how war works Kliff!"
Kliff remains in his calm voice though. "It's not. I know, people with bad intentions exist. I am aware. But that doesn't mean I never feel regret killing someone. I do feel it. I knew nothing of the person. Maybe they were forced into it. Maybe they wanted to protect their loved ones. Maybe they had a happy life and they want to keep it so they support the war. Are these bad intentions?"
"N… No. Of course not! These are pure and understandable reasons! But do you think this is a solution worth for these people!? They could've fought back! They could've escaped from this! Why would such people support the war in the first place!?"
"Because they see no other solution, just like the king of Niterus back then. They feel fear. They are afraid of the consequences if they don't do so. They don't have the strength to fight back or flee. They have no other way but to support war. I know, supporting war is wrong and I understand you. But just like Celica tries to tell you all the time-War is not just black and white. It's never "Good versus Evil". War is about intentions which are never completely good or bad. Each country has their reason to fight. And everyone supporting it has their own intentions to do so, may they be out of fear or out of the urge wanting to have more power. Did any of this ever cross your mind slightly?"
"Not really, no. Now that you point it out though… You know, I'm glad we had this chat. It gelt relieving to hear your opinion about all this."
Kliff looks questioning at his friend, bringing only a "Hm?" out. He doesn't quiet understand.
"Don't give me that look Kliff. You just made me think about my own view of war. But hearing you out once was something I really missed too. I just wanted you to open up once more, just like old times."
"Like… Old times?
Alm- Yeah. I appreciate your honesty, even if it is hard to hear sometimes. When something's on your mind you always told us back then. But now, you rarely do."
"Alm…"
"This was the whole reason I even wanted you to teach me about history. And the topic I read about might have been a serious one, I admit, but it was something we both were able to share our views with. We had a conversation once more. So please, I would like to hear more of you. I would like to see you open up to me again. It doesn't matter what it is about, I want you to be honest with me. Can you promise me you will be in future, as hard as your opinion might be?"
"I… I don't know if I should. I mean, you are our leader. And honestly, what I said a few seconds ago was too rude in front of you. Questioning the intentions of our leader, that's nothing a good solider should do. Never."
"Then stop seeing me as a leader. See me as your friend, someone you can always trust. I want to be your friend, not your leader."
The young boy doesn't respond. He doesn't know how. He was suprised of Alm's words. Very suprised.
"Please? This is all I ask for", the leader finally speaks about his request.
"I didn't know you felt this way", his friend finally responded. "Alright then, I will always be honest with you, as a friend. I promise. But just if you promise to do the same."
"I promise Kliff. I promise."
