I do not, and will never own Ouran Highschool Host Club (If I did, Kyoya and Haruhi would end up together)
If you know my other fanfictions, you will know that this is my first non-Miraculous Ladybug fanfiction I have ever posted. But I have loved Ouran for so long, and I've never posted any of my fanfictions from it. I hope you enjoy this fanfiction, and will read my other ones. I do want to give a disclaimer, and that is, I have never read the Manga, only watched the Anime. Thank you very much for reading. - Alice O'Flynn
No one knew what was going through Kyoya's mind when he was dancing with Haruhi at the Ouran fair. Well, no one but Kyoya. If you ever asked him, he would deny it. But in his mind, he was singing a song he knew well. He wouldn't admit how his heart was beating faster when she touched his hands. He wouldn't admit that he loved her like he did. He wouldn't admit how his heart seemed to be beating out of his chest when she stood up to his father. All he could do, was sing That one song in his head.
"You're in my arms
And all the world is calm
The music's playing on for only two
So close together
And when I'm with you
So close to feeling alive
A life goes by
Romantic dreams must die
So I bid my goodbye
And never knew
So close, was waiting
Waiting here with you
And now, forever, I know,
All that I wanted
To hold you so close
So close to reaching
That famous happy end
Almost believing
This one's not pretend
And now you're beside me
And look how far we've come
So far we are So close
Oh how could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?
We're so close to reaching
That famous happy end.
And almost believing
This one's not pretend
Let's go on dreaming
For we know we are
So close, so close
And still so far"
Haruhi was surprised when she heard Kyoya singing, and she was sure that he didn't know that he was singing. She listened to the words, and her heart skipped a beat. She thought she just imagined it at first, until she looked up at him, and saw his lips moving. The song caught on, and she started singing with him, and her heart almost broke when he sent her off to dance with Tamaki. "So close, so close, and still, so far," She whispered, when she saw Kyoya out of the corner of her eyes.
