I was sitting on the couch when Ponyboy walked into the house. He had a girl with him, and it wasn't just any girl, she was cute, like the type of girl that I normally pick up at work. They were holding hands. It was that moment that I realized that my baby brother was growing up. I hadn't realized it, but it was true; Ponyboy is at the age where he has girlfriends.

Now, being his older brother, I should probably find a way to give him some girl help. Like a list of things he needs to keep in mind while he's with a girl. So, using my personal experience with girls, I created this list for Ponyboy.

Sodapop's List on How to be a Good Boyfriend

No matter what, your girlfriend is right. You are wrong and she is right.

Never, ever say that your girlfriend isn't too good for you. She is and you're just going to have to learn to live with it.

Protection is key. You don't want to end up being a teen parent.

Nothing is too good for your girl.

Looking/flirting with another girl is a sin.

Make the first move. Yes, sometimes it's hard and sometimes she will want to make the first move, but play it safe and be a man.

Don't be controlling.

Your girl isn't your slave, don't treat her like one.

Be sensitive, girls are more emotional than guys, so don't get mad if she cries easily, or a lot.

Don't accuse your girl of something without solid proof. That is a big mistake and could cost you big time.

Never turn down a kiss from your girl. You never know when it could be the last one you get.

Apologize first, most of the time it'll be your fault so just get it over with.

Cuddling is manly.

When I finished writing the list, I took a good look at it. Pleased, I walked into mine and Pony's room to find him and his girl kissing. I stifled a laugh. I never thought I'd ever see Ponyboy kissing. Honestly, he wasn't doing a bad job from what I could see.

I stepped out of the room and knocked on the door so that Pony and his friend wouldn't know that I saw them. I walked in casually and handed Ponyboy my list. He took one look at the title and looked at me like I just grew antlers.

"Rule 3." I said. "It's a lifesaver." I patted him on the back and walked back out of the room.

Disclaimer: I do not own The Outsiders… Also, this list is something I thought up from personal experience, it may not be true for all relationships.

I had an inspiration to write this last night because of my "boyfriend." O_o

I haven't forgotten about my other stories, but I have a writer's block so if anyone has read one of my other stories and wants to help me, I'd appreciate it…
