Tonks lay asleep in the chair in the library, her chest rising rhythmically as she breathed.
Remus had never wanted to be in the arms of another person more.
He was lying on the sofa, Sirius' big arms wrapped around him, his breathing heavy in his ear. Usually, Remus would love to fall asleep in Sirius' arms.
Not tonight.
Tonight, he burned for another set of arms to fall to sleep in. smaller, softer… he sighed. He wished he could reach out and wrap a strand of her pink hair around his finger. He wanted to stroke her soft face, wake up to her violet eyes and soft smile.
He wanted her. Badly.
Sirius' arms tightened around him, as if he knew what he was thinking. Remus smiled sadly. Why was the forbidden fruit always the sweetest?
Why did he want her? Why did it have to be her, Sirius' cousin? Why couldn't it have been someone else, anyone else? McGonagall even…
he sniggered at the thought.
One of her violet eyes opened. She grinned at him.
"Comfortable?" She whispered, smirking. He grinned back. If only she knew the truth…
He was sure he saw a flash of pain in those violet eyes when he grinned. Maybe she knew more about it then he did.
Maybe that was why she was forbidden.
And he was sure he would have to give In to the temptation.
