The plan

A/N: So I am so looking forward to Kate telling Castle she love him. This is my kind of version of it. I don't own anything.

Kate Beckett had thought long about how she should tell Castle she loved him. She had waited for the perfect moment for telling him she wanted to try to get together also. But life had a way to catch up with her and throw her around. But this time it should be on her terms. And it should be soon that was for sure. But it had to be a completely normal day. Even what some people could call boring.

She sat at her desk doing some paperwork, it was early Saturday morning and she had paperwork. She had told the boys last night that they could take the weekend of if they didn't have a new case because it was the start of Easter and they had worked all of Christmas. She wanted to get her paperwork finished for tonight because she planned to do absolutely nothing at all.

As the hour became two she started to feel very bored. And again the memory of her perfect moment to tell Castle she loved her came to mind. This was it. Sending a message to her boyfriend she sat down and waiting feeling butterflies in her stomach.

It took about half an hour before the elevator pinged and her "Writer boy" as the others would say came through. The precinct was completely deserted now; it was only her and the desk full of paperwork. He walked over to her with two cups of coffee. "Hey" he said. "Do you mind if I get some writing done?"

"Of course not, I need to work on this and we have this place all to ourselves today. " She smiled to him. This gave her a bit time to get up her nerve and find a good reason to bring it up. She tried to concentrate for two hours or so before she realized that it now was mid-day and she started to get really hungry. This was the perfect thing she thought, they could sit down in the conference room and eat and she could tell him then.

"Do you want any food, Castle" she broke the silence.

"Hm?" he said clearly having focused on his writing.

"Do you want any food? Was thinking we could take a break you know eat in the conference room. Maybe from Remy's, would love a burger and one of those shakes now?!"

"Yes, I can order. Guess you want the usual right. "He said picking up his phone.

Sitting down in the conference room, she knew that it was time. She just had to do it now.

"So Castle I wanted to hm, talk to you about something" she said really nervous now.

"Ok?" he said not looking up from his food.

"Could you please look at me?" she said as he looked up, she half regretted asking him to do it as her heart was beating in her ear.

"I wanted to tell you.. I love you, Castle" she said.

For the first time she saw Richard Castle speechless and a few seconds something worse happened she saw tears falling from his eyes. Not just a few but a steady flow.

"Oh Castle, what did I do?" This was so not what she had expected. She excepted kissing, maybe even that he would dance or try to take her cloths of but not this. But then she realizes that maybe this was his way to say that they had gotten together it wasn't as great as he hoped. Maybe he wanted out.

"Did you want an out Castle? Is this not what you want..." she said starting to feel her own tears burn.

Looking at her now like she was completely crazy he found his voice.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry Kate, I wasn't excepting this now. I just I didn't know what to do for a moment. Sorry I started to cry. I love you too. I love you more every day. I want to marry you one day, that's how much I love you."

"Okay. Well, maybe we should get this paperwork done. Do you want to have a movie night with me? You can pick tonight!" she smiled.

"Of course, love." He said smiling back.

She was happy that for once in her life something has worked out like she really wanted it to.
