Ika serves tables as usual at the Lemon House, The place filled with people waiting for their yakisobas and beers. Sanae runs in through the entrance yelling "Iiiikaaaa!" and tackles her. Creeped out, Ika throws Sanae away from her using her tentacles whilst Sanae's nose is bleeding. Sanae watch her, ink begins to drip from her mouth. As Ika works, Sanae gazes is at her with love shining in her eyes, the daily routine. Ika Thinks about how much Sanae obsesses over. Would it be safe to be friends? Her thoughts are interrupted when she realizes there is ink running from her mouth and down her chin. She wipes it away with her hand, the creeped out expression still on her face. Later that day, she remembered that she had contemplated being friends with Sanae.
"D-do you want to meet somewhere and... hang out -de geso?" Ika asks nervously.
"YES! OF COURSE, IKA!" Sanae excitedly replied.
They went to the park and talked together, finding out more about each other and Ika was actually having a good time. Their eyes suddenly meet and Ika feels her face become warm. She notices Sanae's wide smile. Sanae's face gets closer to her's... Sanae was trying something even when Ika was trying to give her a chance! Ika whipped her tentacles in front of Sanae's face, stopping her motion. They look at each other, both suprised. Feeling bad, Ika's impulse causes her to quickly kiss Sanae, her eyes opening wide while Ika shuts her own, wanting the kiss to be over. She runs away, not wanting to hear the conversation that would follow. Ika runs to Eiko's house. She places piles of shrimp on the table and stuffing her cheeks with the cool shellfish, the veins and tails still connected. She decides to take a bath to take her mind off of things. She soaks herself in the warm water, gently smiling at the feeling. Ika thinks about how Sanae must be reacting. After all, Sanae had always dreamed of that moment. In reality, Sanae was also thinking about what Ika's reaction and what brought her to do such a thing. She walks to her and Eiko's bedroom, wanting the day to end. She passes by Takeru. He looks up at her, noticing very tense posture.
"Hey, Ika-nee, is something wrong?" he asks
"N-no, nothing's wrong -de geso!"
She silently enters her room. When her head touches the pillow, her thoughts are filled with Sanae.
A knock came from the door. Ika opened the door and saw Kiyomi standing in front of her, holding her hands in front of herself like always.
"Oh hi, Kiyomi -de geso!"
"Hi, Ika-chan!" Kiyomi says with a sweet voice.
They walk up the stairs and enter Ika's bedroom.
"Kiyomi, something happened yesterday -de geso" Ika says with a nervous look.
Kiyomi wait's for her to continue, looking interested. Ika tells her the story, trying not to keep her waiting.
Kiyomi gains a look of despair.
"I think that maybe Ika-chan should stay away from Sanae-san."
"Eh?!" Ika says, surprised. "That's not the kind of response I was expecting from you -de geso!"
"Well... it's because I wanted to be the first to kiss you, Ika-chan..." Kiyomi says nervously.
"Ki- Kiyomi..." says Ika, confused.
"I think I should leave now," Kiyomi says while rising to her feet. "I'm sorry, Ika-chan!" With tears already running down her face, she runs down the stairs.
