Chapter One: I Think I Love Him
Ivy looked out the window, letting the rays of sunlight hit her face as she lazily closed her eyes. Tristan… She thought. Tristan, my love, please tell me you have been doing well…Give me some kind of sign, my dear angel…
She tensed her body, ready to react to any sound or movement around her. Nothing. Her eyes opened as she sighed with disappointment. She still wasn't used to the silence that had come once Tristan left, this time for good.
Even though her heart had moved on, now ready to love Will with all she could give, she still couldn't help but to miss Tristan. She loved him still, but it was now a love she could put to rest, one she was sure could stay safely nestled in her heart.
She smiled as she turned away, knowing now that his silence was just a way of letting her live on. She could just picture him up there, looking down on her with a smile on his gorgeous face the whole time.
"Ivy!"
Her eyes grew wide as the familiar voice hit her ears. "How did he get in…" She whispered to herself.
"Hey, Ivy?! Your mom let me in! Give me some kind of sign as to where you are! Please?"
"You'll have to ask even more nicely then that!" She called, loving to play games with him.
She quickly ran over to Phillip's room, where she climbed inside his closet, closing the door behind her as the familiar sound of footsteps came near the room. Wow, he's good, she thought.
"Ivy?"
Will took a step into Phillip's room, moving near the bed and then towards Phillip's bookshelf. She bit her lip, desperately trying to hold back the giggle that was threatening to escape.
"Ivy? I know you're in here."
She burst then, laughing hysterically.
Light shattered the darkness as Will threw open the closet door, looking down at her with his famous, bright smile.
"Will!" She shrieked, jumping into his arms. "I've missed you!"
"Yah, I did to. I mean, I only saw you yesterday."
She nodded, taking in his familiar scent. He smelled of pine needles and mint, a scent she found to be irresistible.
"I've also missed this." She said, leaning up to kiss him. He met her half way, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss that sent her head swirling.
She pulled away and examined his expression. He looked peaceful holding her in his arms. It was an expression she had missed seeing. Peace.
"Love you, Ivy." He said.
"Love you, Will."
She felt ready to scream out loud the full, three words. She was tired of just saying, "Love you." It sounded as if they were referring to one another as really good friends rather then two people joined by love.
It just has to be the right moment… she thought, closing her eyes against his chest. At least I finally found a place where I belong…
