Natsume walked along the road, waving to Tanuma as he walked the other way.
He heard a hum and looked up to a huge tree on the side of the road where a girl sat among the branches, humming to herself. She smiled at a stray butterfly that fluttered straight past her.
She had amber eyes, bright and soft. Her pupils were narrowed like a cats. She was tall, and skinny, wearing only a sleevless black jumpsuit that clung to her curves.
Two tan cat ears with black stripes lay on her head, flicking occasionally. A tail of the same markings hung down from the branch, swaying with the tune.
Black leather boots she wore gently lay on the branch, careful not to scratch the tree.
She stopped all of a sudden and turned to Natsume, her ears twitched. She looked confused. "mya?"
She saw Natsume and blinked.
Natsume shook his head slightly and kept walking.
The girl's eyes turned green before she shook her head too and returned to the song.
Lightfeather's POV:
I stopped and I felt my ears twitch as I smelt a human. Turning to the side, I looked down and saw a boy.
His pupils were slitted like mine and a pretty color, similar to sand from a beach. He was a sandy blonde, medium hight.
He appeared to be staring straight at me...
He couldn't see me, could he?
I had turned invisable to all humans but youkai, I made sure I did for now.
Theres no way he could see me...
I'll have to keep an eye on him...
He stopped and started to walk away.
'Huh, guess he didn't. Probably has a sixth sense and thought something was wrong.'
I scratched me head with a single fingeer and sighed before returning to the song.
Natsume sighed, leaning against the tree. He was currently on the side of the road on the out skirts of the forest, the same place he saw the girl, just kind of sitting there.
The leaves of the tree rustled and he looked up, hoping to see the girl.
Amber eyes stared down at him and he smiled.
"Hello there, can you please come down?" He asked.
The eyes widened slightly and he heard a tiny gasp.
They retreated slightly and he frowned. "please don't leave, I only want to talk."
She froze and slowly, without a word, retracted herself from the tree, untangling herself from the branches. Her tail wrapped around a branch to steady herself.
Finally she pushed off one foot and landed perfectly, with out a sound, landed beside Natsume, but still back walked into the shadows some.
"What is your name? I'm natsume." He said.
She smiled slightly, barely counting as a smile. "I am Lightfeather." She said.
He nodded and then asked seriously. "Is your name in this book?" He asked, holding up the book of friends. Her eyes widened and she looked shocked before laughing out loud.
"Oh my starclan! Your reiko's grandson! No wonder you seemed so familiar! No, She never was able to take my name! Ridiculous! She did once challenge me to a match and all i did was flick my finger and that bat of her's burnt to dust." She giggled.
Suddenly she was silent. "wait... if your her grandson... Does that mean reiko's...?" Natsume nodded.
Lightfeather stared at the ground for a moment. "oh..."
