The Missing File
Chapter 1
"Even after regaining my memory I still feel as if something were missing." thought Shadow as he lay on his bed. "What is it that I keep forgetting…… come on ……… think. There must be something in my past that I'm forgetting."
As he thought he slowly fell into a deep sleep. As he slept a dream came to him. It was about the past as most of his dreams were recently. He was having a class at the ARK. It was about Awareness.
"You must be aware of all your surroundings; you must be able to see through deception; you must………… SHADOW!"
"Huh?" Shadow said as he started to focus.
"What was I talking about?" ask the professor sternly.
"Umm……… something about awareness……..Look Professor I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything, but how is this ever gonna help me in the future. Besides I've already understand all of the stuff that you have taught me."
"Are you sure?"
"100!"
"Ok then, time for a test. Here is a picture of a lab. Identify what is wrong in this picture."
The professor hand Shadow a picture. It was a picture of several men each with their own microscope and taking notes.
"Hmph! This is going to be easy." Said Shadow.
30 minutes later Shadow was still there staring at the picture when finally……
"There isn't a single thing in this picture that shouldn't be there." said Shadow as he finally looked up at his picture.
"Ah! But you forget that it may be something that isn't supposed to be there but it might be something that isn't there at all."
At this Shadows dream started to fade away until……
"That's it!" said Shadow as he woke up. Immediately Shadow realized that it may not have been something missing but something that wasn't even there in his memory. He started raking through all the adventures he had been through.
"Finding the chaos emeralds to control the ARK…… Getting to the ARK…… Fighting Biolizard…… Metal Sonic…… Wait! That's it! Biolizard!"
Now Shadow raked his memory of anything that might have to do with Biolizard. If Biolizard was the Prototype of him he must have some memory of him. But still there was nothing. Shadow decided it was time to make a trip to the ARK.
It has been many days since Shadow first arrived at the ARK. He has been at Professor Gerald's, his creator, computer going through every file he can find looking for any information that he can. But he found nothing so far. Not even a single sentence. It was almost as if Biolizard had never existed. Shadow has almost about to give up when he came a came across and encrypted folder. The name had missing letters but Shadow was able to guess what it said:

It didn't take Shadow very long for him to realize that what it was meant to say was Biolizard. "Could this be it?" thought Shadow as he gazed at the single word which seemed to take up all his vision. "Could this be the answer to the question that may complete restore my memory? Well…… only one way to find out."
As Shadow clicked on the icon a message box popped with a space to type. Above the space it read:
Insert Password
"This shouldn't take too long" Said Shadow, smirking. A few minutes later Shadow was staring at a folder full of video diary entries that seemed to have been sent to the computer from some sort of portable computer. But instead of being happy Shadow stared in a mixture of surprise and confusion.
"Could- Could this be possible?" Thought Shadow as he gazed in disbelief at what seemed to be the last shard of his past.
