Written for Katie who said absolutely no slash whatsoever in any way…she didn't think I could do it.

Harry pulled Ginny close to him as the music began. She rested her head on his shoulder. They swayed in time to the music, everyone else quickly forgotten as they gazed into each other's eyes and held each other tight. He bent and gave her a gentle kiss. Together, they found their own world.

"Ouch!"

"Sorry."

"Ouch, Ron! Watch where you step." Hermione said irritated with the ball already.

"I'm sorry, Hermione!" he replied sheepishly.

Hermione looked over longingly at how unified Harry and Ginny were, gliding effortlessly across the floor lost in each other. Neither one of them stepped on the other. If only...

Hermione found herself sprawled on the floor half laying on Pansy Parkinson. She quickly moved as Pansy started to shove her off. Ron tripped over her as she was moving and saw the source of irritation. Draco and Ron were fighting, again.

"Damn you, Malfoy! Watch were you are going." Ron yelled at the other boy.

"I can't help it that you are a clumsy fool that doesn't know his way around the dance floor. I would say it has to be your obvious lack of breeding, but even your sister can dance," he retorted.

Ron jumped up and charged at Draco, but Draco effectively evaded him again. He reached a hand down to Pansy to help her up. "I do hope this buffoon hasn't hurt you."

"No, Draco, he only pushed his date on me, but I will survive. Thank you." Draco pulled her into his armsa nd danced away from hermione and Ron, who was getting up.

"Damn that Malfoy! He tripped us." Ron was indignant, but Hermione knew the truth. Much as she loved Ron, he did have two left feet.

"Ron, honestly. Why don't we sit the rest of teh song out?" She said to please him. He smiled in relief, although he did try to hide it.

"Fine. Hey, Hermione. I love you."

Hermione just smiled. They walked to the edge of the floor and sat down. She looked out over the couples still dancing. Harry and Ginny were still wrapped up in each other. Neither had noticed the near fight between Ron and Draco. They glided effortlessly past Draco and Pansy who also danced just as gracefully.

She sighed, "Why me? Why did I get the bull in the china shop?" She looked over at him and knew how much she loved that red-headed bull.
