To tell you the truth, when Lucky first joined the team, I despised him with everything I had. His constant 'talk about lucky's annoyed me to bits, and I wanted to wipe that smile off his face.
Being one of the first Kyurangers to join, I hated that he just decided to tag along with us. I may not seem like it, but I'm a hardworker, and to see someone like him on a team like this infuriated me.
But as time went on, I found that Lucky wasn't as much as an irrational, irritating happy-go-lucky jerk I thought he was (note I said 'as much as'; he's still an irrational, irritating happy-go-lucky jerk.) He was an ok guy, with good intentions and a lot to smile about. Which was good, since everyone else in the ship seemed to be going through those teenage years where being soulless and unsocial is cool. And he was stupidly loyal, which I'm sure is more of a bad thing.
But most of all, he's willing to do anything for the team. For example, guess who brought 50 boxes of data to the main room for Raptor's research? And made a 2 way trip? Lucky.
Which is how we got here.
"Add 1 teaspoon of salt-NAGA THAT IS ONE CUP." Spada yelled while reading out the recipe, though it proved not effective to yell. Or to even try to keep the kitchen in order. Champ had put in something that definitely wasn't cupcakes in the oven, and a scream shortly followed afterwards as it was discovered that Stinger's tail had got caught in the oven. Garu had eaten up nearly all the ingredients (even the flour), and Balance kept throwing food everywhere. Poor Naga was actually trying to help, yet he had little to no knowledge of the kitchen. Or food. And what about me and Lucky? I was trying to be the one sane person in the kitchen, and Lucky was clearly not.
Yep, our oh very smart leader had decided to volunteer us for cooking for a bake sale. A BAKE SALE. ALL THIS FOR A BAKE SALE.
"Lucky." I asked while mixing some batter.
"Yeah, what's up, Hammy?" Lucky replied.
"So why are we doing this again?"
"To help with a bake sale!" I almost slammed my face onto the table.
"But WHY?"
"Cause we are the Kyurangers and we help people!" Correction. I wanted to slam Lucky's face onto the table.
"That's- UGH!"
"UGH what?"
"You- you know what, nevermind."
"Oh, well, ok then..." He trailed off, being actually quiet for a moment. Then, there was a ding! from the oven, and he raced over to open it and take out the contents.
After setting it down, I saw that it was a tray full of heart shaped cookies.
"Try one!" Lucky offered, picking up a cookie then immediately dropping it. That's what you get for picking up a fresh cookie with your bare hands, I thought, mentally rolling my eyes.
But, I smiled, and blew gently on the cookies. Then, I took one of the tray, and took a bite.
I'll forgive him this time, I told myself, even though this cookie sucks.
A/N: I have finals this and next week, so I won't be able to update frequently! I was taking like a 10 minute break from studying while writing this, so it's rushed and has an unthought out plot. Hope you enjoyed as much as you could, and have a nice day.
