If you wanted to be kind or professional you might say that Neptune is "a troubled town with antisocial and self-destructive tendencies." If you were going for blunt, it would be closer to "Neptune is an over-sexed, superficial, sham of a city." But whichever way you chose to look at it nothing except money and reputations mean anything here on the sunny Californian coast. Not Marriage, not emotions, and, least of all, sex - which is almost unheard of having anything to do with either of the aforementioned. It's nothing more than a pastime; a game, because it's a gamble and it could kill a reputation and loose you money. As with any game different levels of skill and commitment exist, but that's hardly important. Rules exist too, but they're simple and straightforward. In fact, there are only three. 1. Never break the taboo – although, some would argue that that is part of the mission statement. 2. Break all rules stated or implied by any other code of law or moral conduct. 3. Never be real.
