Chapter One:
The Seeds of Journey
GEORGE: As far as I can remember, I've always been itching to get out of school. I was good at it, considering my disability. But it bored me. I developed panic-attacks and whenever the school bell rang my fingers flickered like the string legs on beetles and ants. I couldn't take medical drugs. I couldn't take it. I wanted something new. I wanted to relax. I was becoming eighteen and within three months I moved on to the next step.
RAY: George and I have been friends for years. He and I went to the same elementary school, but we was shy. It wasn't until junior high that we became friends and almost on accident. He was a nervous wreck by the end of high school. One night we were hanging in his garage making coat trees. He was kind of jittery. We were talking about our plans after school and he brought up that we should have a trip. He said were. Anywhere I said. George thought about it, then said that he had quite a bit of money saved up and he knew his parents were okay with it.
BRIAN: I found out about these plans for a road trip through Ray. We were stoned and he was being loose with his speech and he mentioned something about the trip to nowhere. I thought it was humorous but the next school day, George confirmed the plans. I liked George but barely knew him, so I thought this was a good chance to decode the enigma. After graduation and with my part payed, the journey was to set forth.
