Harry Potter, Auror-in-Training, closed the door to his apartment. Another long day of spell drills and exercises. Entering the living room, his senses were assaulted by the sound of Ron's snoring and the smell of reheated sushi. The redhead was sprawled on the couch, still wearing his orange Quidditch robes. Harry glanced around, blinking the afterimage of the vibrant uniform away. No books were stacked on the coffee table, so Hermione was still out.
Heading to his room, Harry began to tidy himself up. His robes were tossed aside to be washed. A quick shower soothed his sore muscles. He decided that skipping lunch had not been a good idea as he re-entered the living room. Maybe there was something else in the fridge besides the sushi Ron was always chowing down on.
Harry found four boxes of takeout (empty), two bottles of butterbeer (cold), and a block of cheese (moldy). Grabbing a bottle, Harry walked back to the living room.
"Oi," Harry said, thumping the back of the couch, "Wake up."
Ron blearily looked at him. "Blimey Harry, when did you get back?"
"Few minutes ago - budge over."
Ron sat up, swiping the sushi box off the coffee table and looking inside. Harry uncapped the butterbeer as Ron frowned at the container.
"I'm starving, you want to grab something to eat?" Ron asked, tossing the box over his shoulder. It bounced off the wall, joining a growing pile. Hermione would be lecturing Ron about that soon, Harry knew.
"When aren't you hungry?" Harry replied, leaning back against the sofa.
"I'm thinking about going to the sushi place." Ron said, ignoring Harry's question.
Harry shook his head. Hermione had taken the three of them to Okia's Grill in celebration of finally graduating Hogwarts. Ron had taken a liking to their all-you-can-eat specials, quickly becoming a regular customer. Of course, he couldn't remember or pronounce the establishments name, so he just called it 'the sushi place'.
"Might want to change first." Harry remarked.
Ron stood and stretched. "Yeah, give me a minute mate."
Finishing his drink, Harry checked his pockets for change. Okia's did have good teriyaki chicken after all.
