The new episode really broke my heart so I decided to post this new story that I had been developing for over a month now. It is more of a thriller story, but it still has the OUATIR whump that we all love. If anything scary comes up (because I added some horror aspects later into the story) I will warn you guys. Hope that you enjoy.

"Come on Alec."

"No."

"Alec."

"No."

Alec thought that it was going to be normal day. He was going to go to go to work, hopefully solve a robbery case or a kidnapping case, come home with his gorgeous boyfriend, maybe watch a movie that he liked, pound him into their bed and then go to sleep. But no. Of course, of course, of course his sister and her best friend had to have something that they wanted to do. And it wasn't like Alec didn't want to hang out with them. He loved going with Clary to all the different burger joints in New York and New Jersey. He loved helping Izzy pick out what new palette she was going to buy that week. He adored his siblings.

But what they had in mind this time seemed completely and utterly crazy.

Alec looked at his sister and his brother's girlfriend from his desk in complete and utter mock shock. Clary gave him a look.

"Alec, come on. It could be fun." she said.

"How many times do I have to say no to you both?" Alec said, flapping the pamphlet that they had given him a couple of moments ago since they had entered the police station.

"Alec, this is fun. I mean, the reviews are phenomenal. Escape rooms are like a New York staple!" Izzy said with a wide smile, bouncing a bit up and down in her heels.

"We've been living in New York since Robert came in Mom twice and adopted Jace. Never had I heard of an escape room being a stape." the police officer responded. "Look. Izzy, Clary, I love you both probably more than I love Magnus." Alec started.

"That's a lie." Clary muttered.

"Yes it is. But I am not doing this." Alec finished.

Alec had done a lot for his family, his friends and his siblings. He had organized family dinners, babysat when asked, bought gifts, gone to dinner, sat in for dates, pretended to be a boyfriend, pretended to be a husband, gotten drunk, gotten high, arrested a few people. He had done anything and almost everything that had been asked of him. But this. This was where he drew the line.

"Alec." Izzy said in a plead. "Please."

"Izzy, I am not doing an escape room."

Edom Escape Rooms. That was what they were called. And that was what it read on the pamphlet that was given to him. They came along to different cities and different towns with new escape rooms. And they came to New York with a new escape room, looking for people to try. Alec did not and would not go. At all. He didn't trust it. Alec's instinct was kind of like an alarm clock at the moment. It was blaring at him. This place didn't look like it was legit or real. And because of his job as a police officer, he wasn't a big fan of being locked inside of a room.

"This does not look or seem like a good idea." Alec said. "If you want to do it, fine by me. But I'm not going."

"But you have to come." Izzy said. "It'll be fun! And with you and Jace's mixed military experience-"

"Wait.. Jace is coming?"

"Yes. Jace is coming." Clary responded.

"With you, him and my amazing doctor knowledge-"

"You're a nurse Iz."

"Will you please shut the hell up and listen to me." Izzy said. "With you, Jace and I we can find a way to win before the time's up! Plus, it's a discount on couples! The price of one for two."

"I am not bring Magnus with me at all." Alec said, getting up from his chair and adjusting his gun holster. "You guys can go, it's alright with me. I'll pay for it if you want. But I'm not coming. And neither is Magnus."

"You can't speak for Magnus Alec, come on." Clary said. "Will you at least just give it a thought? Please?"

"Come on. It'll be fun for us to hang out." Izzy said. "Please, please, please, please, please, please, please-"

"Izzy, stop." Alec said, holding out his hand. "I'll think about it okay? Will that satisfy you both?"

"Yes! Yes, that's all we want." Clary said, walking over and hugging her probably soon to be brother in law.

"Now will you let me continue working?"

"Yes hermano." Izzy said, pressing a wet kiss to his cheek. Her red lipstick stayed on his skin as she pulled away. "Bye bye Alec."

"Goodbye Isabelle. Please save someone's life today." Alec said as his brother's long term girlfriend and sister walked away. "And just because I said I'll think about it, doesn't mean that you're paying for me!"

The black haired woman and bright red head walked out of the station. Alec sighed and leaned back into his seat. He picked up the pamphlet and looked at it. Why were they so excited when this seemed a bit off to him?

Alec unlocked the door to the penthouse that he shared with his boyfriend. Magnus. One of the most precious things in the world to him. He met Magnus at the scene of a crime actually. Alec had been honorably discharged from the military five years ago. And to support himself, he joined the police force as an officer and a detective. It had been great for him. But it turned perfect when he and Magnus met. Three years ago. Magnus had been living with his abusive ex-girlfriend, Camille, and she tried to stab him to death for trying to leave her. Alec arrested her and took Magnus to the hospital. And from there, Magnus and Alec became good friends for a couple months during his recovery process. And from there, the two started to fall for each other. And once Magnus was completely healed, mentally and physically, Alec asked him out. And from then on out, it was the most beautiful and blissful experience that he had the pleasure of living through.

Alec loved Magnus more than anything, and he gave him the love that he didn't have with Camille. Alec used to hate himself for having a romantic and sexual pull towards men instead of women. But Magnus showed him that there was nothing to ashamed of. They did everything together from then on out when they weren't working. They went out dancing. They tried all the new restaurants. They took painting classes. They sang songs together. They explored their sexual limits. They purchased the penthouse together. Magnus meant everything to Alec. He was like the brightest light in Alec's ocean.

Alec walked inside, hugging a bouquet of white roses that he had bought for him. It was a thing that they did. Magnus would either cook dinner, bake a pie, order take out or prepare a massage and Alec would come home with flowers, chocolates, movie tickets, concert tickets or pizza. Alec walked inside, hearing soft music coming from Magnus' bluetooth speaker. Alec smiled, closing the door quietly behind him and pressing the off button on the speaker. He walked deeper into the penthouse and saw his boyfriend decorating a cake in their kitchen. As always, he looked beautiful. His tan skin contrasted with the sun coming from the window brightly as he leaned down against their island, adding beautiful roses made of yellow icing. It gave a perfect view of his ass, which Alec always enjoyed looking at. Alec smiled, seeing him.

"What's the occasion for the cake baby?" Alec asked, walking over to Magnus and pressing a kiss against the back of his neck.

"It's for Tessa." Magnus said. "Her anniversary is soon with Will and she wanted a cake that he would like. Yellow is his favorite color, so that's what I made the butter cream out of. And he likes cookies and cream ice cream, so I made a kind of cake batter with the same concept."

"Well it looks great babe." Alec said. "Can't believe you wasted your talent for baking by becoming a surgeon."

"Hey! I save people's lives Alexander. I think that that's better than selling different flavored cakes."

"But not as beautiful as you are."

Magnus turned away from the cake and smiled at his boyfriend. He looked down at the roses. "Oh, thank you Alexander! They're beautiful."

"Thought that you would want some after you're long day in surgery." Alec said, pressing a kiss to his nose. "Are you cooking?"

"Yeah. Speaking of!" Magnus called, running over to the oven. He grabbed the oven mitt and opened the oven. He picked up the tray and rested it on the island away from the cake. "Hope your in the mood for lamb."

"I love your lamb babe." Alec said, pulling off his badge and setting it down.

He walked over to the kitchen table with Magnus and watched as he served him lamb, almond and strawberry salad and tomatoes. Alec smiled. He moved forward and pressed a slap onto Magnus' ass. Magnus jumped with a smile.

"I'll take that as I thank you." Magnus said with a smile as he set down his own plate right next to Alec's seat. "So, how was your day darling?"

"It was long. I dealt with some ass trying to drunkenly kidnap is two year old daughter, three afternoon bar fights, some woman tried to steal my cop car when Underhill and I arrested her for possession of cocaine."

"Ah, New York. I love the buildings, the sky and the crazy crime." Magnus commented.

"And then Izzy and Clary came by the station to try and convince me to go to this escape room thing."

"Is that why Clary's been calling me almost all day and Izzy been giving me the crazy eyes back at the hospital."

"Oh God Magnus, please don't tell me that you want to go."

"I wouldn't know because I haven't spoken to Izzy and I haven't answered Clary's calls." Magnus said, putting some of the tomatoes and lamb inside of his mouth. "Go mhere Alexmder?"

"Don't speak with your mouth full Magnus." Alec said, getting up and grabbing a bottle Magnus' favorite rosé. He poured his boyfriend a glass and put it in front of him.

"Thank you." Magnus responses, taking the glass and sipping the wine. "Now, will you tell me what Izzy and Clary want to do."

"They want to go to this traveling escape room place. Called Edom Escape Rooms."

"Oh. Sounds interesting."

"No. Not interesting. I don't trust it."

"Alexander, you don't trust anything. It's your police officer nature to be skeptical about basically everything. Why do not trust an escape room? They seem pretty fun, despite the prices per person."

"Clary was saying something about two tickets for one on couples."

"Oh Alexander, now I really want to go!" Magnus said with a wide smile.

"Magnus, come on!" Alec groaned. "I don't trust this. At all."

"You didn't trust Raphael when you first met."

"The man was pale as hell and had an almost dark look in his face. I thought that he looked like a vampire."

"You're lucky I would never tell him that." Magnus said with a smile, sitting up from his chair to be closer to Alexander. "Come on, this seems like fun. We should go."

"Magnus." Alec said.

"Alec, come on. When was the last time that we hung out outside of this penthouse? And don't try to explain because you and I both know that we haven't. Come on, it'll be fun. Especially with Jace, Sharon-"

"Simon."

"Clary and Isabelle. Please Alec. It will be fun."

Alec groaned. Magnus got up from his seat and sat down on his boyfriend's lap. Alec groaned. Magnus knew his weakness. It was always Magnus or his family. Magnus rubbed Alec's shoulders with a smile.

"Come on." Alec said. "Can't we make a compromise? If we go and we have a good time, you and I can do whatever you want. You can pick."

Alec gave Magnus a look. But he pouted. "Magnus, you know what that pout does to me."

"Come on Alexander. Please… please, pleeeeeeaaaaasssssseeee."

"Magnus, don't beg. Please. You know that it's my weakness. You know that I can't say no to you when you're like this."

"Then just please consider, or say yes." Magnus said, starting to hop up and down on his lap. "Please, please, please, please, please"

"Okay, okay, okay, okay!" Alec said, taking Magnus and holding him still. "I'll go. We'll go. Now stop right now, because I don't know if I can't contain myself."

"Hurray. Thank you Alexander." Magnus said, leaning down and kissing his nose.

"You don't play fair."

"Neither do you. But I have a feeling you'll show me that later in the bedroom."

Alec smiled. "You you know it."

Alec laid in the large bed that he shared with Magnus, unable to sleep. Magnus was laying against his chest, fast asleep with hickeys littered all over his neck, collarbone and back. At least Magnus could sleep. But something was stuck in Alec's mind. Stuck about Edom Escape Rooms. Something didn't seem right about this. Alec sat up, careful to not awake and bother his sleeping boyfriend. Alec leaned across the bed and grabbed his laptop. He picked it up and opened it.

It had been awhile since Magnus called Izzy, paid for the two of them. But even though everything seemed okay with them, it seemed confusing and almost scary to Alec. Alec quickly typed in Edom Escape Rooms into the search bar. The search engine showed him all the results. The official website, Yelp, other review websites. Alec clicked on the official website. The whole website was in a dark red and black background. It looked like some kind of palace made of ash and dirt. Was that the theme of the escape room? Alec didn't think so. How would that be pulled off? Alec scrolled down. There was a button to purchase tickets and one showing the tour dates and destinations. Alec clicked on the destination button. It opened up another link in their website. There had been quite of bit of places that they had visited.

Tennessee. San Antonio. Albany. San Francisco. Los Angeles. They seemed like a pretty legit company. But why was there still that feeling in the back of his brain telling him that something was happening and something was strange about this place? Alec looked back over at the search engine and clicked on one of the review sites. Four point two stars out of five. That seemed pretty good. Alec scrolled down the reviews, seeing some of them.

Absolutely loved it. The escape room was so fun! Me and my friends got out under the hour and they excitedly thanked us for trying!

Loved it. Loved it all. It was so scary and exciting.

Alec raised his eyebrows. The reviews were four and five stars. It looked okay. Trusted. But as Alec scrolled down, one of them caught his attention and finally struck his unease.

Do not under any circumstances try this. I barely got out of this place alive.

Alec raised his eyebrow. He moved to click the review, and then the page reloaded. All on it's own. Alec hadn't even pressed the button. He moved back to find the review that he had just seen. And it was gone. Nowhere to be seen on the page. That just made Alec's unease about this worse. He put down his laptop and leaned down into the pillows. Magnus stirred in his arms, moving closer to him and hugging him tightly. Alec smiled, leaning down and pressing a kiss to his hair.

Was he just being paranoid? Or was something seriously going on here?
