A/n: this is my first fan fic so try to be nice (constructive criticism welcome) my spelling sucks so you've been warned.

Kel sighed this was the end. Lord Wyldon had informed her that he could not allow her to return as a second year page. Upon hearing this news, all the built up anger she had kept inside towards him for the past year slipped through her protective yamani mask and came out in one rush of hateful words.

'You sexist scum! First you put me on an unfair probation, then you watch me more then any of the boys, you commented on the littlest mistake I made, you gave me harder punishments, and do you no what! I STILL CAME OUT ON TOP, AND YOU KNOW IT BUT YOU'RE SO WRAPPED UP IN YOUR UNPROGRESSIVE BELIEFS THAT YOU WONT LET ME STAY EVEN THOUGH I'VE BEEN PROVEING MYSELF FOR EVERY STINKIN DAY I'VE BEEN AT THIS CURSED PALACE!' she stopped yelling to catch her breath.

Lord Wyldon looked at her as if nothing had happened 'I have been instructed by your parents to send you to the convent, where hopefully they will remove comments, such as what you just said, from your system. Soon if all goes well, we will forget this ever happened, you will become a proper young lady, and knight's work will be left to the men. You shall leave this morning one half hour before first bell.'

Kel hurried out of his office cursing rudely in Yamani. Running into her room she slammed the door behind her. Still cursing under her breath she grabbed a pencil and wrote a note to Neal explaining what had happened. Hurriedly she grabbed a bag and threw her stuff into it, she had to keep busy it was all she could do to keep from crying.

Suddenly she heard a knock at her door 'just a minute' she called, running to open the door. Who would be knocking at this hour I thought I was the only person up at 5 in the morning. Nearly pulling off the doorknob she yanked it open to find a servant.

'My Lord wishes you to take your things and meet him at the west palace gates immediately.'

Kel sighed again, this was really it she had no chance of ever becoming a knight. 'Very well then, I'll be down right away, the servant turned to leave but Kel remembered something. Stopping him she handed him the letter to Neal. 'Take this and be sure it gets to page Neal as soon as possible.'

'Right away my lady' he promised running down the quiet hallway.

'Don't call me that' she yelled after him. Gathering her weapons and bag she took one last look at her room. Holding back tears she locked the door for the very last time.

A/N: I no it's short but it's just the opening chapter. And just so you no kel isn't going to end up being the main character. Please review.
