-1Balyn and Balan

Old King Ryon's barbaric threat

A possible army's fierce onset

Irate Arthur upon hearing

Until come a strange woman nearing

A Great sword offered to the pure

Many try, none procure

Sir Balyn draws from the sheath

The lady does not wish of it to bequeath

Embittered, she wishes Balyn's demise

For to murder, only himself complies

Slain, she fell and nothing more

And of him, King Arthur did then abhor

To earn back his repute with the king

Balyn journeyed to Ryon then vowing

Arthur's great foe would be killed

And Balyn's glory would be fulfilled

Soon after departure he soon meets

Another knight whom he then defeats

Though without meaning he takes another life

For he slain not only the man, but also his wife

Balan, his brother then arrives

The two of whom go on to contrive

To travel together, until appears

Wizardly Merlin, the great old seer

Prophecy made, that Balyn will bring much loss

'til a saddened knight they come across

Who spoke of his death at Garlon's sword

Cruel Garlon's death they calmly assured

Balyn goes on to attend a feast

Where not soon after, Garlon is deceased

King Pelles angered of the death of one of his knights

Attacks Balyn, for with whom he fights

Once unarmed Balyn sees the mystical Grail

And can think of little but to King Pelles impale

With a great spear he wields against Pelles' rule he broke

And cast upon the locality the Dolorous Stroke

Riding through the destruction, another knight lent

A shield to Balyn, for two deaths would soon advent

Another knight nears, soon both have perished

Buried as brothers, their last miens anguished
