Chapter 1: Playing in the Snow?
It was just your average day, a Wednesday if I remember correctly. I had a snow day that day because we got 5 inches the night before. Anyways, I had just sat down with a cup of coffee from my Keurig. Then, I turned on the TV, mostly because the old Teen Titans was on at 7, and I intended to watch it.
I had then remembered that I hadn't put any creamer in the coffee. There was some commercial about State Farm playing so I had some time before it started. I got up, walked into the kitchen, and started the hunt for the creamer from the fridge.
After I found it, I heard a loud booming sound. Thinking it was just the TV, (because the volume was up pretty loud) I continued. But then, I heard it yet again, louder this time. I was very curious as to what was going on.
I used to watch a lot of action movies, so I knew that if anything was exploding, it was doing so outside. So I walked out my back door into the backyard. It was mindblowing. I couldn't speak, or even breathe for that matter.
"I knew it'd come to this," I thought, "but did it have to be me?"
