It was a dark, cold day in downtown London, and a girl named Naomi was on her way to school. It was mid-January and there was around an inch of snow on the ground from the night before. Naomi was about 10 minutes away from school when she saw something moving in the woods next to her. A strange shadowy figure appeared to be watching her from its spot in the woods. She thought that she would be late for school if she went to investigate the shadowy figure, so she kept walking. The whole way to school, after the incident, she tuned around every couple of minutes to make sure that no one was following her.
As Naomi was walking up the crowded steps of the school, she noticed that her best friend Meghan was not at her usual spot waiting for her. She continued walking on to her first class, thinking that Meghan was either at her locker or she was talking to Alisha, Naomi's other best friend. Naomi then realized that she needed a black pen for English class, so she went to go visit the school store. While she was there waiting in line, she looked down the hall and saw the same shadowy figure standing about 200 yards away. After getting her black pen, she walked down the hall towards where the shadowy figure was standing but nothing was there.
The rest of the school day went fine for Naomi, and she was glad that she remembered her black pen for English. On her way home from school she saw the same shadowy figure in the woods. She continued to walk faster and faster until she reached the front door of her house. Reaching in her purse for her house key, she opened the door slowly... SURPRISE!!!! Naomi had forgotten that it was her birthday, and she found out later that the shadowy figure following her all day was her good friend Meghan. Meghan didn't want Naomi to find out about her surprise birthday party so she followed her all day to make sure that she didn't!!!
