Lavender wasn't expecting Colin to have anything plan for Valentine's Day. He had showed little interest in going out to celebrate and because of this was very disappointed. Meanwhile Padma, her best friend, kept going on and on about how Terence Higgs had gotten reservations for them at Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. Colin, of course, said that it was unoriginal and that was why he didn't get reservations. He continued on by saying that they were a phenomenal spectacular couple and that they would have to think outside the box.

So why weren't they doing anything for Valentine's Day?

The Gryffindor common room emptied out as every one separated to do their own thing. Lavender watched them go sadly, even taking the time to glare at her ex-boyfriend, Ron Weasley, and his girlfriend, Hermione Granger. Soon Lavender was the only one left.

"Where is he?" She groaned as she threw herself onto a couch.

Seconds turned into minutes and became what seemed like hours, before Lavender decided that the next time she see Colin Creevey, she would be breaking up with him. At that moment, like magic, the Gryffindor's portrait hole opened to reveal her good-for-nothing boyfriend. He was smiling at her wildly as he rushed over and kissed her. Lavender turned her head at the last second, so that his lips pressed against her cheek.

"Where have you been!" Lavender demand, jumping off the couch. "I've been waiting forever! It's bloody Valentine's Day Colin and you didn't think that I wanted to celebrate?"

She crossed her arms angrily and looked at him. Colin stared at her with wide-eyes, stunned that Lavender was angry. He actually had the nerve to look confused! Which made Lavender even more furious then she originally was.

"Colin, you sodding jerk!" She continued, pushing him. "Are you shame of me? Is that it?"

"What? No! Of course not, Lav-"

"You get to call me that, you're in trouble." Lavender snapped.

"Lavender!" Colin yelled, slightly irritated. "I actually did have something plan."

"Wait, what?" Lavender's anger quickly died out.

"It was supposed to be a surprise." He explained. "Surprise!"

She covered her mouth in shock, feeling bad. "Oh, Colin-"

"It's fine." He said, offering her a smile. "After what happened with Ron, it's quite understandable why you're suspicious. All is forgiven, but Lavender we do have a private date that we need to get to."

"And where is this date?" Lavender prompt.

"The Room of Requirements." Colin answered. "Where we can be alone for hours."
