Her lips were red

His eyes were blue

He tried to say something

But it might come out, "I love you,"

And though he smiled

He couldn't help but think

Was she also biting her tongue

Behind her teeth?

He wanted to shout

He wanted to yell

"I love you so much,

Why can't you tell?"

There she was

But she didn't even know

How perfect she looked

And how much she glowed

He locked eyes with hers

He couldn't hold it in

And he saw in her eyes

That she started to grin

He needed to stop

Ron wasn't one to over think

But his throat became oddly dry

He needed drink

This was it

No turning back

He was going to say it

He wondered how she'd react

Would she smile?

Would she cry?

Would she simply say "Thanks?"

Would she even reply?

He sucked in a deep breath

Brown eyes stared into blue

And then, as if rehearsed,

They both said, "I love you."
